This was taken just after I’d completed a challenge to hug a stranger. It was something that put me well out of my comfort zone, but soon realised that out of my comfort zone was a place I needed to be more!
Yesterday I took a trip to London to hear fellow creator @ckgoldiing talk about finding your superpower. It was only on the journey up that I realised just how out of my comfort zone I was putting myself. It was being held at an atheist church (apparently not a cult) so they said.
It’s only when you say yes to opportunities that you have crazy experiences and meet new people and I’ll certainly be doing a lot more of it. If anyone fancies challenging me to something or has any ideas of what I should try I’d love to hear! .
Yesterday's conference really got me thinking about my mental health again and how important it is. After listening to @mrjonnybenjamin speak and the work he now does with @thiscanhappenevents it really put things into perspective again. I still have bad days but seem to cope with them a lot better. 18 months ago I would have really struggled to go and work at an exhibition and conference doing some networking and I'm glad I worked my way through to the other side. For some people it's a lot harder. It's also important for businesses to look after their staff and to supply more training to help combat mental health in the workplace.
Although this image doesn't quite have relevance to the story, I wanted to share it. Up at the Citadella gave us the most spectacular views of Budapest! It's beautiful in the day but as the sun sets and the city lights turn on it becomes a whole lot more magical! 🌃 So I just wanted to leave you all with a message that even though the sun sets, it always rises in the morning and eventually even if you don't see it right now, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. You've got this! It's okay not to be okay, it's okay to talk! .
