How do I feel after eating plant based for 6 years?🌱🤔

This is MY journey. I want to share because with all of the “influencers” quitting the vegan diet, I’ve gotten so many questions. So here’s MY experience:

👉🏽1st Slide:
•Left pic: eating Omni but “healthy”! Greek yogurt, eggs, chicken and lean meats. I started my fitness journey and came from a SAD diet of fast food and soda. Eating healthier was making me feel better, but I still had digestive issues and low iron and vitamin D. (This was before I went low carb- high protein)
•Right pic: Vegan for 6 yrs. Overcame anorexia and gained 20lbs (not all muscle but hey a lot of muscle!). Eating balanced but healthy. Blood panels are all great 👍🏽 Feeling strong, making progress in my fitness journey.

➡️ Using: Dual Cable Cross Machine
*(or this can be done with two regular cables OR two resistance bands by tying the resistance bands to something firm or hinging them in a door 🚪)

➡️Circuit: 5 rounds of 15-20 reps each🔥 20 sec rest
1️⃣Cable jump squat
2️⃣Cable Glute Kickback
3️⃣Cable reverse lunge

(The kickback and the reverse lunge can be done by either putting your foot in the attachment handle loop or using an ankle attachment)

⭐️For an extra challenge add in some cable stationary squats til failure!

Even though I love fitness and health, and training for goals- at every stage of my journey I remind myself to love my body. I have been underweight and overweight. I have been insecure and skipped beach days with friends because of how I felt in a bikini- but screw that way of thinking!!
Whether you are at your goal, half way there, or just starting- remind yourself that your body is beautiful simply because it exists💖

Vegan steak?😯🤭
This amazing meal from was made entirely from jackfruit and mushrooms, with some tomatoes and potatoes on the side. It was delishhh, nutritious and cruelty free😍🌱

Look, I get it. I did not grow up eating plant based. I grew up eating steak, chicken, and fast food. When I was 19 I got serious about getting fit and mainly ate eggs, fish, and chicken with veggies.
Do I miss any of those things? Nope.
Why? Because my perception of food is completely different now that I am much more educated on not only nutrition, but ethical things like animal welfare as well.
My pallet and gut bacteria have changed over the years and I now crave plant foods and never crave meat.🍌
There are plenty of health benefits that are associated with a plant based diet, but there is also so much more. I highly suggest trying it out- even if it’s just “meatless Monday’s” and taking note of how you feel. Change can be weird- like I said I get it!
It’s not about being perfect, it’s about making better choices each day for your body, which will also positively affect the world.❤️
