On 1st May Clark will perform at ‘Bach Evolution’ – a unique one off concert, which is part of the Royal Albert Hall’s ‘Love Classical’ season. Ticket link in bio.
Chris will play a specially created new work, that aims to present the hugely influential composer’s work for an audience in a fresh context.
Chris says “Bach is my favourite composer of all time. He has Newtonian levels of influence on the world of music. When I’m learning another composer’s music, I quite often have the sheer cheek to think ‘I would choose a different note to that’. That literally never happens with Bach. You can try and choose a better note, but you never will. Someone said to me once ‘you can have an opinion on his work, whatever, but his music is like gravity’. Immaculate, impenetrable, yet so versatile and enjoyable to play and learn after all these years. He was a time traveller. We are in still in his shadow today IMO. What an honour to be asked to do this”. Young British composer Peter Gregson and rising piano star Víkingur Ólafsson will share the bill with Clark.
Immediately after the show, the Royal Albert Hall will host a unique 'AMA style' Q&A session with Chris, where audience members will be able to ask questions about the piece and other music from his 18 year career. Space will be limited for this.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the annual BAFTA Awards
Catherine wore a one-shouldered bespoke gown by Alexander McQueen paired with the “Romy 100” heels by Jimmy Choo (550€, still available for purchase) and a bespoke clutch also by Alexander McQueen. In the jewelry department we saw a pair of earrings that belonged to Prince William’s mother Diana, although Kate switched the original South Sea pearl drops with other pearls from Diana’s jewelry collection. She was also wearing the Queen’s “Quatrefeuil” bracelet.
Do you like this outfit? 👍🏼 or 👎🏼?

This week marks the sixth anniversary of the 2013 release of The Raven That Refused to Sing, an album that was in many ways my loving homage to seventies style progressive rock. To commemorate that anniversary here is the title track as taken from the recently released Home Invasion concert film, recorded live @royalalberthall last year, complete with Jess Cope's brilliant animation (link to watch the full video in bio!). A deluxe 5LP vinyl box set of the soundtrack to the film will be released next month, including some bonus music not included in the film. #stevenwilson#homeinvasion#theraventhatrefusedtosing
I don’t know what it’s been about being back in London this time, but I have LOVED it! This weeks plans were probably my favorite: a MAGICAL evening at @cirquedusoleil watching totem, which is on right now at the @royalalberthall ~ and a quick visit to the nearby @chucsrestaurants one of my favorite Italian places in London! Their Dover street branch runs the COSIEST Sunday brunch if you’re looking for plans for today, and the serpentine branch is amazing in this weather! Confession: I’m thinking of going back to watch @cirquedusoleil AGAIN next week 🙈🙈🙈🙈 [AD]
The things humans can do. I saw the Cirque du Soleil show the other day with @mimiikonn and @alexaikonn . Out of the whole show these ladies and their unicycles mesmerized me. What shows, street performs, magic, concerts, etc amazed you?
Term 2 and Guitar lessons are going well.
His self-motivational home practice is a good sign and although a couple of his friends have deferred he says he still loves it 🙏🏽🌈 #myguitarpractice#robertjohnson
