I am #grateful for my breath, the rain, the openness of my clients, the ability to laugh at pretty much everything, and you! 💋 It’s a good life, hOMie, but don’t take my word for it - see it for yourself. 😉
I’d say the glute growth as of recently has been pretty gnarly and the hard work is paying off. The question of the snag century I get it "Yo, Kendall, What exercises should I do to grow my glutes? "
But let me tell you it DOES NOT just come down to the exercises my friend. If you are on my email list, I sent out an email this morning with my top six exercises for glute growth! But here are my top 4 tips to catch the booty gains
1️⃣ FOOD. Idc what ya say this is the MOST Important thing- no matter what style of training that you do, if you aren’t eating, you’re not even going to be able to fuel the work out! For me I stay in a slight caloric surplus so I put on lean body mass overtime! But to grow muscle you HAVE to be in a surplus.
2️⃣ LIFT THOSE WEIGHT- This might be a given here, but the amount of resistance that you have is deathly going to play a role in how much growth that you see! I focus on lifting heavy! Yes I do incorporate some accessory exercises, but I love focusing on HEAVY compound movements
3️⃣ progressive overload- I focus on putting more stress on my body as a further into my training split! This means adding more volume, weights, time under tension etc! If you don’t add more stress overtime, then your body is going to just remain the same and adjust.
4️⃣ REST- If your training g glutes daily, I’m sorry hun but they gonnna be worn outttt, you’re not going to give them time to recover, and repair! On top of this sleep is a major factor as well! LET YOUR BODY GROW AND RECOVER.
So many factors play into putting on lean body mass! But start implementing these tips, and you’ll be off to a great start 🤙🏻🤟🏼 -

🥩 “Cardiff Crack” Tri Tip from @seasidemarket (ilysm)
🍤 My take on shrimp scampi- sauté 4 minced garlic cloves in some olive oil and butter, add in your shrimp and let it cook for 5 ish minutes then add white wine and sauté until shrimp is cooked through. Top with Parmesan cheese, parsley and some salt and pepper.
🥔 Baby potatoes coated in olive oil and butter with salt, pepper and fresh thyme. Baked at 425 for about 25-30 minutes.
🍅 Caprese salad with heirloom tomatoes (@seasidemarket has the best if you are local!!!), mozzarella cheese, basil, @temeculaoliveoilcompany garlic olive oil, balsamic glaze, and salt & pepper.
🍝 @thedefineddish Israeli Cous Cous Cacio E Pepe- Cook 1.5 cups of Israeli (or pearl) cous cous in 3 cups water. Bring to a boil then let simmer until all the water is absorbed. Add freshly shaved pecorino (Parmesan works too), fresh cracked pepper, a dash of salt and fresh parsley. Serve with more cheese, pepper and parsley. I doubled the recipe to serve 6 people as a side!

This can be a great workout on its own, or a great warmup for the more advanced! Trainers, these moves make great stations for circuit training! For example, I used the butterfly bridge in my last lower body class and paired it with sumo deadlifts! Bum on 🔥

If I’m honest, I tend to put all my clients and work stuff ahead of personal goals...even sometimes motherhood goals. This question hit me hard in January like a push from the backside. My answer was “nothing.” I’m all about trying to survive extremely busy seasons tand letting that be enough but you know when you know deep down the procrastination and fear of failure are the real culprits?!! Reading parenting books and getting involved in kids ministry at my church are two things I need to do this season. 🖤🖤
In 2008 I was at a routine annual check up when my doctor told me that she’d found a lump in my right breast. ✨
She started asking me about my family history and if cancer ran in my family. It did. ✨
My great grandmother died of breast cancer and the other women in my family have had other types of cancer too. ✨
When I went for the mammogram, it was confirmed that I had a “suspicious mass” & would need a biopsy. ✨
Waiting on the biopsy results was 24 hours of pure anxiety. My mind wouldn’t stop running the different scenarios. ✨
When they finally called me & reported that the results were negative, my whole body let out the biggest sigh of relief and I burst into tears. I felt so grateful. ✨
There are so many other women who have gotten the exact opposite news and subsequently had their lives turned upside down overnight without warning. ✨
Breast Cancer sucks and has taken the lives of some of my very close friends & even my family. ✨

A bit of honesty: the Gaslamp District is one of neighborhoods I frequent the least in the city. (Snobby local here 🤷🏻♀️) But if I happen to be there, I always swing by the Horton Grand Hotel - did you know it was once two hotels, located in two different locations? They were individually taken down, brick by brick, and reassembled here. Historic preservationists (and early spring blooms) make me very, very happy. 💙

This week has been a rough one for the gym, school has officially hit midterms season:/ I only made it to the gym twice this week and my eating has been kinda off with tracking, I’m still however eating about 3.1K cal a day though and getting some kind of movement/ stretching in most days even if it’s not the gym (gotta take stretch breaks between 5hr study sessions😅) As a result of the inconsistency my body image has been kinda trash lately but with consistency I know I’ll get it back, we (my fellow student gym rats lol) gotta make it through exams and it will be ok😭💕
I pay attention to all the signs that God is giving me every day, I’m grateful for them all and this honestly has to be one of the boldest and most vivid signs of them all. It’s almost like he’s telling me to stay focused on my craft and continue to press on no matter what. This morning the @ski_row that I won at the @thefitexpo was delivered to my house. I was at a loss of words I really didn’t know what to say except for that I said thank you like 5 or six times lol. I had to work and pay a price for everything I’ve ever had no matter how easy I may have made it look. Nothing has ever been given to me. So this is definitely a gift from God and my @ski_row#family. Thank you I am and will forever be grateful 🙏🏾.

Add up the time spent in each real estate activity in which the client materially participates to see if he can meet the tax-law guidelines explained in detail following this section.
*To successfully negotiate Step 2, the client must now meet the tax-law definition of a real estate professional. She/he qualifies as a real estate professional if:
1. She/he spends over 50 percent of the time she/he devotes to performing personal services (in other words, working) during the year in real property activities in which she materially participates; and
2. She/he spends over 750 hours performing personal services in real property activities in which she materially participates.
For this purpose, personal services in real estate activities mean any work (other than in a capacity as an investor), including management work in rental real estate activities (Reg. 1.469-9(b)(4) and (e)(3)(ii)).
*If the client is married, either she or her spouse (or both) must independently pass both of the preceding tests (IRC Sec. 469(c)(7)(B) and Reg. 1.469-9(c)(4)). In other words, spouses cannot combine their hours for purposes of passing the 50 percent test or the 750-hour test under this Step 2. (As explained earlier, however, spouses are allowed to combine their hours in attempting to pass the material participation tests in Step 1.). However, as long as the married file jointly, it only takes one qualifying spouse to be eligible for the real estate professional exception on the couple's joint return.

Because of this you SHOULD be Highly Selective in what you're saying. You have a choice of how you can show up here. And energetically if you have good intent- well that’s making the world a better place.

We always need to have a plan in whatever it is that we are trying to accomplish. The “I have a plan but it’s in my head” doesn’t work unfortunately. Make goals, write them down, add how our going to get there, and post them somewhere that you can see them every day.
