The Houston Humane Society’s mobile adoption team was lucky enough to be able to visit the @mensclaycourt Championship tournament a few days this week.
Ronald the poodle got adopted and we met so many fantastic folks!
Throughout the tournament, every ace served by @johnrisner will result in @nulopetfood donating meals to our animals at HHS!! It’s all part of their #acesforanimals program.
A huge thank you to our staff and volunteers that worked extra hard at the mobiles, and a great big thanks to Bronwyn (the tournament director), everyone that stopped by to give a little love to our dogs, the entire River Oaks Country Club family, the Nulo team, and of course John (who we can’t help but hope serves nothing but aces this tournament). #johnisner#usmensclaycourtchampionship#houstonhumanesociety#houston#tennis#nulo#nulopetfood#opttoadopt#healthiertogether
#acesforanimals is a charity volleyball tournament this coming weekend, June 3rd and 4th down in #knoxvilletn! This event will benefit @gentlebarntn, which is a sanctuary for severely abused animals. These animals are rescued and rehabilitated and then go on to teach love, kindness, and compassion to others.
Along with the tournament there will also be food, prizes, and raffles..and #enlightenedeats is so honored to have been able to donate a few gift packages for this event. If you're in the area, make sure to stop by...and/or if you'd like to donate, contact the good folks at @gentlebarntn 🙏🏽
John Isner shows his love for dogs with his “Aces For Animals” campaign
The two things that I love most in life: Tennis and Animals. When I’m not on the court, or writing and talking about tennis, I’m working with a companion animal non-profit called CARE Rescue LA. I mean what’s more special than the undying loyalty these adorable little creatures offer?! Animals and the world of rescue are very near and dear to my heart. So it makes me very excited whenever a celebrity uses their popularity and influence towards helping this cause. In this particular case Tennis and animal rescue unite!
Looks like John Isner isn’t only easy on the eyes but he’s easy on the heart too. Isner has started what he calls the “Aces For Animals” campaign. For every ace that he serves up at selected tournaments – Nulo, an Austin texas based pet food company – will donate 10 meals to a local animal shelter on his behalf.
Isner isn’t just signing his name to this cause though, he really legitimately is invested in it. He’ll visit local animal shelters at his various tour stops, he’ll hit campaign branded tennis balls in to the stands to promote the mission, and of course, he’s been slamming a whole lot of aces across the court as well! In September John served 328 aces at nulo sponsored events . . .thats 3,280 donated meals!
If you follow john on social media you can see just what an animal lover he is – you’ll see lots of pictures of him and his 8 year old English Cocker Spaniel, Magill – named after the late University of Georgia Tennis Coach.
Dear John – thank you for being simply wonderful on the court, and off :) #tennis#host#talktennis - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pu7ftGw3a1U
