First off I wanna say I love that woman you see on the right. I love her as much as my mom. She’s a blessing that no one knows about and needs to be heard. She’s homeless alongside her husband who sits on a diagonal across the street to watch her at night she said to me “he doesn’t sleep much just cause and keeps an eye on me”. I figured it out as she was saying it and it hit me cause I have nothing like this back at home. I want you all to take a moment if ur still reading to think about everything u have and think “do I really need to complain bc I know someone out there has it worse so fuck complaining”. Next, that bag I found in my room with a whole bunch of drum stuff and @nyknicks gear for a lucky person it was the “jackpot” of the day. She was the last one we came across and she said she used to play and I told her u need to start again. Guys everything happens for a reasons and I was her angel to know she is A FUCKING HUMAN BEING AND AN DO ANYTHING WITH HER LIFE! THIS!! 😳💦 FULL 💀 SWEAT CIRCUIT! Swipe! Don’t forget to press that heart and save. I wanna see your body ache as much as mine does today! 😩💪 Try one round at the end of a weight lifting session or 4 rounds as a complete calorie burning session! I used a 15kg sandbag for all exercises
1️⃣ First exercise - Core, shoulders, some triceps and chest. Place yourself in a plank position and pull the bag underneath you back and forth.
2️⃣ Second exercise - Legs, glutes, back, biceps and core. From a row into a squat! This one is DEATH! Sorry, but it’s true. I hate it lol!
3️⃣ Third exercise - Jefferson squat - legs, glutes and core. This might look fun(ny) but heck no! Wait until round 2, your legs will shake like a leaf!
4️⃣ Fourth exercise - Here I want you to NOT pull with your arms but instead push your hips back and forth! Let your arms just fluidly follow the movement but your glutes do the job!
5️⃣ Fifth exercise - Quick lunges and you’re done!! Don’t forget to switch legs tho, heheh!!
♻️ Do every exercise 40sec - rest 20sec between every exercise. When you’ve completed all 5 moves, rest 2 minutes then REPEAT!! 👯♀️ TAG someone you want to put through this evil circuit 😼💪
I wanted to give y’all some meal prepping tips from personal experience.
1: Don’t put frozen Tupperware in the fridge to defrost. Idk at least it didn’t work out for me. Cause then I would put it in my bag and it would continue to melt in my bag, and everything would get gross. This was especially bad with beans. I’m sure there’s a better way of handling frozen Tupperware but I’m not sure yet lol.
2. Make sure as much food as possible is ready to eat. So before I would bring 2 whole avocados with me, and I would just be standing there in my university market for like 5 minutes cutting them up lol. It’s just easier to do all that stuff before. You want to reduce as many obstacles as possible, so that meal prepping, or anything really, can be done with less effort. It makes it more likely that you’ll follow through.
3. This might be the biggest one but just add variety. Before I would make the same rice, tofu and beans and season everything the same way, but that got boring quick. Like the one in the pic is Indian style, so I used curry powder and cayenne. I added hemp seeds, avocado and lemon juice. The one I had yesterday was still tofu and rice but I seasoned it with turmeric and garlic salt instead. Just those small changes can make food taste completely different. That’s just one example, there’s so many different ways to mix it up.
I guess the point is that it doesn’t have to be a chore to make and to eat this stuff. It can and it should taste good to you. That way you’re way more likely to keep it up and achieve what you want 👍
We will never know all of the pain + sadness these eyes have seen. Faith was worked for 26 YEARS. I can only imagine the manual labor she was forced to perform + the abuse she endured - especially after seeing countless donkeys + mules on the side of the road all over Northern Spain. Most were pulling carriages filled with rock, cement bags + heavier items. They all looked exhausted + hung their heads low to the ground, admitting defeat. The sad fact is that a majority of farmed animals like Faith will never be rescued + certainly will never be shown compassion or love.
After 26 years Faith was no longer able to perform her duties for the humans who were enslaving her. Her body just couldn’t tolerate it any longer evident by her limp + the way she holds her one leg up while just standing in place. The family decided instead of thanking Faith for her life of service by letting her retire, that they were going to slaughter her. This is the heartbreaking reality that faces working animals. Luckily @minovalleyfarmsanctuary intervened + gave Faith a second chance at a retirement surrounded with love, relaxation + friends like Bartello the Donkey.
Can you think of what is going through her mind every day since her rescue? To know she’ll no longer be whipped for working too slow, starved or mistreated in anyway. To finally feel safe. Animals are intelligent beings, just because they don’t speak our language doesn’t mean they don’t understand pain, joy or feel anxiety. From all the sanctuaries, farms + slaughterhouses I’ve been I can certainly say they understand 100% what’s going on, more than most humans will recognize.
I thankfully had a lot of time to get to know Abigail + Mikey who founded + run @minovalleyfarmsanctuary. They are such gentle + giving people - their lives are dedicated to saving + being a voice for the animals. I encourage everyone to please go + read Abigail’s post (her with Luna the cow) about the hardships sanctuary owners face + how she has struggled this past year. The work is tiring, cruel at times + above all: never ending. They need our love + support more than ever. 💛
