Marmalade 🍊chicken! 🙌🏻🌈 This is a mist save!! #recipe below 👇👇. This was super super delicious and so quick and easy to make. I did this with #local#organic chicken breasts but you can use chicken thighs, legs or chicken breasts with the bone in (your choice). I also added some beautiful local carrots 🥕 for some added sweetness. 🥰 Everyone really loved this especially the kiddos and I served it with #glutenfree noodles and steamed veggies. This could also be served over rice 🍚 , roasted or mashed potatoes 🥔 or as is with a salad 🥗 keeping in #grainfree making it really versatile!!! We can eat really well, have it be delicious 😋 and it doesn’t need to require a lot of time or have to taste “healthy” for it to still be good for us. It just isn’t sustainable if all these things aren’t in place.
1 jar of orange marmalade
3 tbs dijon mustard
Juice of one fresh lemon
2 tbs extra virgin olive oil
1 medium onion peeled and minced
1 tbs dried oregano (optional)
1 tsp sea salt
Freshly ground black pepper
3 cloves of garlic peeled and minced
1 tbs fresh parsley washed and minced
2 small carrots washed, peeled and sliced
1 cup low sodium chicken stock or #bonebroth
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
Take a medium bowl and add marmalade, dijon and lemon juice. Use a fork to whisk well then set aside briefly so flavors can come together. Take a large pot with a lid and add olive oil then place your stove top to medium heat. Once hot, add onion, oregano, sea salt and black pepper and saute for 8 minutes till onion becomes translucent then add garlic, parsley and carrots. Sauté for 5 minutes then add stock and let simmer for 5 minutes. Now place chicken breasts on top of the simmering carrots and then using a spatula pour the marmalade mixture over the chicken. Place lid on pot and let simmer on low for 30 minutes, then serve immediately. Enjoy from @chef_emery 👩🏻🍳👩🏻🍳ox
I really wish I had a couple of these Vegetarian Greek inspired Tacos right now! They’re kinda of like Gyros...but a lighter version. 😎Not too long ago I realized that due to an update on my website, I lost a good portion of pictures on so many of my older recipes on my website. And my heart dropped to the pit of my stomach. The crazy thing is, I’m not even sure how long they had been like that. Well...after a lot of long hours, I’ve managed to recover most of them, so I decided to share some of those in the coming days. Granted a lot of them could still use some updating. ☺️Anyway, I hope you all have been well!! Recipe archived on the blog. ☺️💚🌮 #feedfeed#vegetarian
Tomorrow, on Holy Thursday, we will spend the better part of the day baking our tsourekia, koulourakia and dyeing our Easter eggs. There are so many recipes, methods and traditions out there, and so we thought we would share one of the ways that our parents taught us to dye eggs. We always dye a batch of red eggs, which is traditional, but we also like to make these...which are kind of cool don't you think??
How to dye really cool eggs:
Take your eggs and wrap some outer yellow onion peel around it (the drier the onion peel, the better). Secure this in place by wrapping the egg and onion peel with a piece of nylon from an old pair of stockings. Tie the ends together to make sure that the egg does not slip out of the nylon.
Immerse your eggs in a pot of water to which you have added some egg dye. Follow the instructions on the packaging, and add the amount of white vinegar which is recommended. Boil your eggs for about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let sit in the dye for another 5 minutes or so.
Carefully remove the eggs from the dye and allow them to cool completely. Using a pair of scissors, carefully release the eggs from the nylon. Carefully, with your fingers, remove any onion peel which may still cling to the eggs.
Take a paper towel soaked in olive oil and gently rub the eggs all over. Set aside and store in refrigerator until you are ready to play a game of tsougrisma, or when you want an egg salad sandwich. .
Carrot cake coffee cake by @pinchofyum. Subbed the cream cheese frosting from @katieclova’s overnight cinnamon rolls for the otherwise prescribed honey butter. Baked in tartlet pan instead of cake pan to give it a pretty fluted edge!
Eating my way through New York’s finest. I adoreeeee this hidden bar-behind-a-coffeeshop gem 💗 plus they have the most delicate brunch menu. Charlie tried buckwheat pancakes for the first time and he was more thrilled they were George Washington’s favorite breakfast go-to. #whatkeenate
My first ever chocolate sculpture! Soon to be transformed into brownies! I must say it’s been a while since I posted! I’ve never been more busy in my life than the past few months and the short winter days have also played a great deal! Hopefully now with longer spring days I’ll get a better chance at sharing some of the things I make at @lecordonbleulondon ! Hope y’all having a wonderful week! 🍫✨👨🍳
A quick scout around the back of the freezer always results in some long-forgotten but exciting finds! Cinnamon and cardamon buns with pecans, there can never be enough of these, right? All you need is a couple of final touches. A gentle brush of egg wash and a little sprinkling of sugar and they will be more than welcome for breakfast.
