50 shades of blonde
Been going through my phone and have found so many photos that I never posted. So no time like the present!
Swipe to see both the application and result. My client and I could not have been happier!
Freehand painting can create beautiful, bright, and subtle highlight effect when the correct techniques are applied. It is all about picking the right canvas, placement and saturation levels.
If the hair is too coarse or too dark your much better off doing your service in foil for optimum lift. Generally I stick to level 6 or lighter for out of foil work.

I’ve known this bi+€# since high school. She was one of the first friends I made when I transferred to Marion Senior High my junior year and she still doesn’t hate me. When I moved back to SWVA almost 6 years ago she had a hair crisis. Her hair had been melted to gum because a stylist put high volume lightener in foils and neglected her under the dryer for way too long. It’s been a long road to recovery, but now her hair is thriving, long and strong!
I balayaged her with Decolor B Clay + PROFORCE 101 with 30 volume in the back and 40 vol in the front.
Toned with 9CT + PROFORCE 102 and basic activator for 5 minutes.
Styled with Progressively Smooth and Stop Frizz from Color Lover.
All Framesi love.
She also took home a bottle of Progressively Smooth and Bounce to tame her crazy mane because she is super curly naturally.
Oh and she brought me lunch so she wins everything today.
I always get questions about Toner, what is it? What does it do? Here is a great example of what toner can do! Toner neutralizes brassy yellow and orange tones on bleached hair. It also seals in your color and adds great shine! @hair_bybreana_@themainstreetsalon@redken
PAINT ON THE BRAIN • A lot of people ask about balayage on curly hair. There was a point in time when I asked curly clients to come in with straightened hair... When I really learned how to control the hair & my product, I stopped asking them to. Take your time, use a wide tooth comb, and check your result by releasing tension on the hair. Most of my natural curly girls rarely smooth their hair out, but it should look good either way! Happy paints 👩🏽🎨 • #beautynative
Creating new toner formulas & testing on myself has become a part of my routine lately 🥰
You can change the tone of your hair quite easily & temporarily with an insalon tone appointment!
You don’t always have to bleach your hair to have a change!
I used @redken shades eq for this tone 🥰
And an @olaplex@olaplexau treatment too!
I just can’t tell you enough how much I love doing @eliizabeth17 ‘s hair. She has really dark, thickkkk and coarse hair. She has trusted me every step of the way to give her a balayage that looks beautiful both straight and curled and is never brassy. And because of that trust, her hair feels amazing, as if it hasn’t even been bleached. It’s just hair-gasms all day long with this one. I love my career. And oh how I love my girls ♥️
