Your 30’s teach you a lot about life. Things that your 20’s never could. For me some of these lessons have been life changing!
Who people say you are is not always true. Believe what Gods word says about you instead of what man thinks of you.
What ever God says- He will do.
God is not your husband. You do not need to remind Him every six weeks that He said He would do X,Y or Z. God will always complete what He promised, even when you don’t see it. Just like bread needs time in the dark to prove. Sometimes so do we.
There is always time for FUN!
There will always be curve balls that could derail you. But hold onto the truth that ‘it is well with my soul’ and life will seem smoother even on the rough days.
Mental health sucks. But find people you can be honest about that with. It makes the journey that bit easier. like iron sharpening iron, friends sharpen the edges of. Sometimes that iron comes in handy as it scrapes away the sadness and leaves behind joy. Good friends are hard to find. Love them deeply!
Life is for living, not working, not avoiding, not hiding from. God gave us 24 beautiful hours in every day. Make them count. Every day can hold a divine moment- don’t miss yours.
Gods ways are ALWAYS better than ours. Even when it seems opposite to what you would want, trust that He sees a bigger picture.
Watching "Miffy and friends" from phone and sipping chocolate milkshake. That's how my evening went today.
Miffy and Friends made me nostalgic because it is not only my childhood cartoon but also this particular episode made me remember my childhood days.
This episode is about Miffy's birthday party. Miffy invites her friends for her birthday party which was going to be held the next day and the plan was doing camping that birthday night. The next morning, her parents gift her a colourful necklace and a beautiful book. They prepare carrot cake to give in the school. After school hours, her family and friends go on a hill for camping. There Miffy cuts the cake and all will eat. Later altogether play games, make tents, then have dinner and the show is ended when all of them together watch the moon and the stars at night. I felt wow 😍. That's how life should be.
During my childhood days, even when we were in abroad, we used to have small, sweet and simple birthday parties. It may not only be about my sister's or mine but anybody's birthday in our flat used to take place in a very simple way. Before beginning any party, we used to play some party games and the winner of the games would get a small prize. After that, cake cutting and having simple goodies along with the cake. And the party used to end with a by giving small and sweet return gifts to the kids.
Now the days are changed. People can't enjoy until and unless the party takes place in a five star level. Anyways! Now what I want to convey is, that this episode "Miffy's birthday party" is a wonderful episode on how small things gives big happiness. Please do watch and enjoy 😊! #miffyandfriends#birthdays#parties#birthdayparties#milkshake#chocolatemilkshake#britannia#returngifts#partygames#camping#tents#moonandstars#
Saree Trivia Tuesday #33
It's a happy week, and an almost happy month for me, well it's my birthday month 😊😊. I still get super excited about birthday.
Maa had got a special birthday dress stitched from a boutique for the very first time. A rust colored tiered knee length frock with princess collar in cream colour & hand embroidered basket of colorful flowers on the collar, that frock is still one of my favorites, unfortunately I couldn't wear it enough as I outgrew it very quickly. So the birthday dress was ready, the guest list was almost ready.. Maa had to screen the list as I used to add everyone including vegetable vendor of the nearby market, the food menu was ready with Maa's yummy mutton ghugni(bengali delicacy), sweets, home made chips, an elaborate cake from the only known bakery back then & ofcourse Rasna for all.The only thing which wasn't there was my footwear & hair accessory, & even at that age I just knew what exactly I wanted. The problem was to convince Maa, because I already had enough & more which can match well with my birthday dress. So, I had a plan, five days before the D day, I woke up early, finished my breakfast without any tantrums, helped Maa by watering the plants & filling water in the cooler, studied Maths on my own even if it was summer vacation. In the evening when Maa was sipping on a glass of chilled Roohafza with milk, I tried to bring out the best actor in me & told her that I want an off white colour ballerina & shiny stones studded hair band & I will never ask her for anything else. Today when I think about it I know that Maa just gave in to the child's innocence who thought that by being a good girl for one day she can get her mother fulfill her wishes. On the other hand I am scared that Karma is a bitch & soon it is going to bite me hard, may be even I will give in to my child's wishes. So, here I was all dressed up in my pretty birthday dress with matching accessories and that was my 9th birthday celebration. This saree is a super breezy cotton Kota saree which I had draped for the first time on my 2015 birthday. This year's birthday wardrobe isn't decided yet & I am wondering if I can con Mr. Biswas😋
Happy birthday to my man!! So thankful for this life and for all that he has brought into my life. It’s crazy to think that a year ago we still didn’t even know each other existed! 😮 So thankful for our story and it is the goodness of God all over it! Ooooo I just love this guy! Love him. #marriage#birthdays#heisstillayoungster
