Not here to step on people’s beliefs. If you disagree then keep it moving. We don’t have to agree on everything. But your success in being led by religious texts depends on your interpretation of what you’re reading, the understanding that much of it is comprised of parables, and it contains a good amount of prophecy which can be decoded if you are aware of important concepts and teachings outside of it.
But our programming has been deep. And it’s time to break out of it. Think for yourself and do not let people shame you for being logical. This life is not about being led. It is about letting your spirit guide you, creating your own path using your personal gifts and talents, and building for the next generation, etc.
Mostly all of us were programmed to follow authoritative figures and not think about what we are being told. It started in our household. Next, in the school system (in the schools I attended students were shut down for questioning what we were being taught ALL THE TIME). Finally, in the workplace.
Computer chips are designed after the human brain. The way they sort and store information, can have programs coded into them, and also be erased completely. Governments and psychologists know this. And they used this knowledge on the world’s populations. We all are programmed by the societies we are placed in. Through educational systems, television, news programs, constant fear mongering, negative/positive talk from family and friends, self-talk, etc. What you feed your brain, will become your thoughts. Your thoughts then create your reality.
Some of us live in harsh environments, but do your best to stay away from drama and negativity. Use positive self-talk. Tell those around you (especially the children) I LOVE YOU. Show people who are close to you that you value them. We’d all be surprised how the smallest things can make a huge impact on our lives and on the lives of those around us. Most of all, think for yourself. You know what’s best. Just go within and believe in YOU.
The kids went to the morning show for Disney on Ice with Danielle. I was sent this video of CJ loving the Toy Story segment in full #blackboyjoy fashion.
Can’t stress the importance of the luck in the “Parenting Lottery” in having kids with the right person. No matter the situation between you two, having a common understanding on prioritizing the happiness and growth of the kids above anything else because, to be honest, they didn’t ask to be here.
I’m fortunate to have a quality co-pilot or to be the co-pilot (however you wanna look at it) on this journey of raising CJ and Amani. They’ve got a pretty cool mom....when she wants to be lol.

Working on the balance of being dad and being a coach and watching him develop in something that was truly one of my passions. It’s funny, I make sure to give him the lessons now that I didn’t learn when I started playing. The game has changed so much since “back in my day” but the fundamentals still remain the same. I’m quickly learning that our kids perform so much better if we make sure they have the confidence to at least make a good effort. Mistakes matter but I care more about the effort. #thedadceo
