This sun 😍☀️ does anyone else not have a favourite season? - It’s all about the beginning of all of them, the first few signs that it’s on it’s way ☀️⛄️ at the end of winter I love seeing the sunshine and I get excited for tulips, farm trips and seeing baby sheep everywhere we drive. At the end of spring I get excited for picnic walks, ice cream van visits and dinners in the garden. At the end of summer I get excited for crunchy leaves, conker picking and spiced lattes. And at the end of autumn I get excited for cinnamon candles and present wrapping in fluffy pyjamas 🥰 We live in a beautiful world and I can’t wait to show my boys the fun that every month can bring, starting with our first lamb visit of the year in the morning 🐑✨
Today was a good day. I was without my wing women, but survived 😏
I spent the last two weeks in recovery mode, easing back on my heavy lifts (particularly squats) with the intention to come back stronger. Usually I would split my squats with other upper exercise to reduce the stress on my legs due to my muscle condition. It was trial and error but, I’ve come back with a fantastic result and was able to do a whole leg day! 🦵 It’s been like 3 years! 😅 Some felt smooth, some felt rusty, but all and all, I can’t complain. It’s been a lot of patients, sweat and tears but I’m over the moon with today’s session to say the least! 👌 I made a new PB with a 110kg squat for 2 and I definitely felt it, my legs were shaking like a 7.5 magnitude! So, if you wanna feel those leg day feels, here’s to your next leg sesh, give it a try! 😬 👉 Barbell squat 👉 Bulgarian split squat - notice I keep my chest slightly forward to optimise weight distribution in the front and working leg. 👉 Hip thrust- done with either barbell or leg extension. 👉 Elevated pistol squat
So behind time, this is my last post to wrap up 2018. They say when you have a child, you take double the time to get ready, or get anything done. So this is me, not ready for 2019 when it’s end Feb. .
Here’s some highlights of 2018 with my first baby @lullyselb.
1) Our collab with @naforrer for @ecoage Commonwealth Fashion Exchange.
2) Our Eid 2018 show attended by lullyselbsquad.
3) Did a campaign to raise awareness for artists with special needs - so much love for the overwhelming support!
4) Expanded our product line to active wear together with @email@example.com.
5) First time sharing about running an online fashion business to primary 6 students.
6) Not captured in photos are many sleepless nights, skipped meals, rushing everywhere - but it’s all worth it. .
Thank you everyone for supporting my work and I hope to do more meaningful campaigns this 2019. If you’re a woman artist, designer, Creative, painter, illustrator etc, and wish to have your art on shawls, do read my blog - link in bio.
