Less than 2 weeks until I head to this Clinic in Nepal to volunteer with the @acupuncturereliefproject . Thank you to everyone who has supported me so far, your generosity is truly appreciated and your donations go directly to fund the Clinic with supplies to keep it running. This is the only Health Care facility within a few hours drive for the people in the Makwanpur district, and it runs solely on donations and volunteer Practitioners.
I set a lofty target of $5,000 to raise for them and am well on the way, but am again humbly asking for your support. Every dollar helps, whatever you can afford is greatly appreciated, you can read more about it and donate on the link below and in my bio (amounts are in USD) 🙏
When you complete the charity paddle " around the world " 🐲 #trainwithali
Special shoutout to the amazing folks at @surfhousedubai for organizing such an epic event for a good cause.
On friday the 15th of February, 2019: 40 paddlers set out on a 6 hour paddling journey to complete a 32km marathon for #charity. Believe me, this was no joke. Endurance, patience and determination were all put to the test in what I would like to call an experience of a lifetime. Here's hoping for more events with a cause in the near future. Salute to all the paddlers, supporters and organisers. #respect .

20 Min. Timecap:
2 rounds of:
50 Air squats
40 RKBS (53/35)
30 Push ups
20 KBS (53/35)
10 DB Hang power clean & jerk (alternating hands every 5 reps) (50/35)
AMRAP Clean & Jerks in remaining time (155/105)
Total score is # of clean & jerks completed in remaining time. “C&J” is named after sisters Chesley (4) & Jaina (8). There are 2 rounds to the workout because both sisters have been diagnosed with ARPKD, the first letter of each movement. The Clean & Jerk is used at the end of the workout because it matches the girls’ initials, and the fight to get reps represents how tough both girls must be in their fight against kidney disease.

Sourcing handmade fabrics in Lombok is overwhelming. The amounts of patterns and colours is staggering. We use these to make new products to use in restaurant @pituqwaroeng and to sell in our charity shop.

#tbt This was sent by a friend a few years back... It sounds so simple but holds a powerful message. Oft times we spend our time caring for others & neglect nurturing ourself, thus we can face burnout. We each matter !!!
Live. Laugh. Love. 💕
Those who are blessed with are blessed with it for a reason, charity is a part of Iman(faith). Accumulating the wealth causes greater harm then good for us Muslims if not utilized in the proper way because it will not benefit us in the hereafter but giving it to the needy and spending it in the path of Allah will.
“Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over? And it is Allah who withholds and grants abundance, and to Him you will be returned.” (The Holy Qur’an, 2:245).
“The Almighty promises us that if we train ourselves to give in times of ease and hardship, our sustenance will increase. Giving awakens our souls and triggers genuine concern for the well-being of others. Priority is given to feeding the poor and the needy, as that is one of the best acts in Islam.”-irusa.org
Over the last 2 weeks I've been "spring cleaning" (@mariekondo I see you 😉) and finally got down to the @salvosau to drop it all off! 6 bags in total - just from my wardrobe !! When your kids outgrow their toys, you downsize your wardrobe, move offices, or decide to declutter, those items you can live without can make an enormous difference to someone else’s life.
By donating your unwanted goods, you’re not only giving a once loved item another life, you are helping them give hope where it’s needed most. The Salvos Stores and op shops specialise in reselling donated goods to help fund vital services and activities run by The Salvation Army.
So I highly recommend getting into your wardrobes/ cupboards, not only will you feel less cluttered your helping towards a great cause!
