Lemon Meringue Pie! Ah! So scary making meringue for the first time, but alas, success! I went the extra mile to zest and juice my own lemons (I’m lazy; this was a big accomplishment for me lol). The nice thing about taking this step?? A nice and sour filling! The recipe was long and intensive but if you comment wanting it, I will wrote it out in a reply. #lemons#meringue#baking#pie#lemonmeringue#lemonmeringuepie#success#scary#dessert
Thank you to everyone for their prayers, moral support, and safety tips. We’ve faced some tough days and we want you to know that we’ll come back stronger. We do have events planned for the summer and we want all of you to be a part of. We love our strong community ♥️ ♥️ ♥️ #repost@tiffenilyn
So one of my favorite spots in San Jose has been broken into twice already over the past few weeks. I wanted to tell you all just what kind of a place this spot is.
TeaLyfe is a tea/boba shop in the Vietnam town area of San Jose. I remember from its beginnings, the owners have always been intentional in everything that they do with the shop. A value I’ve been noticing among their decisions is Community - from the ingredients in their drinks, to the way they’ve designed their space, to the way they’ve given up their space to others:
// Many of their ingredients come from local sources. // They want their space to promote conversation and community - as shown through their simple decisions of how they set up their furniture, and their decision not to include things like a TV in their shop
//In the summers, they happily host open mic nights for local artists to express themselves creatively; and throughout the year, they showcase local art - from drawings/paintings to plants to books/magazines. .
PLUS, I absolutely loooove their drinks (my personal favorites are their matcha latte and the citrus therapy that I love to drink whenever I feel a little sick), and I pretty much go there on a weekly basis to work/read/study.
If you can, stop by TeaLyfe to show them some support and also have some good quality drinks and snacks!
Because of my lactose intolerance, I don't use butter for baking, which I tried to eliminate with margarine. Recently, I have become more and more involved in the topic of healthy ingredients that margarine does not belong to. For this reason, I started experimenting with coconut oil, but unfortunately, not all of the cakes baked with it turned out to be good.
However, in this recipe, no fat is needed, because the greasy grind almond, the juicy grated carrots and the whipped eggs give it a very light texture. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
• 50g zabliszt

Taro Milch with Tapioca (€5.50) ❤ Found another Bubble Tea shop in Stuttgart 🥤 The staff I've interacted with are really cute, and they let me try a bit of the milk tea flavour that I couldn't decide on!😊 While as expensive (if not a little more than) as Teespressa, this was DELICIOUS! My friend got the papaya milch, it was amazing too!! Previously we tried the regular milk tea (tapioca latte) and it was not bad as well 😋 Their bubbles are nice and chewy and a good size! This tea shop has more ~taiwanese~ flavours so it's quite an interesting selection! AND they even serve some food! (Mainly japanese food though😂) I rlly do recommend trying this!!!! I thought the taro milk would be super gelat BUT NOT AT ALL!!!!! Fragrant and creamy yet the sweetness somehow cuts the creaminess. 👌👌👌
