Thank you Tasmania 😭 there’s something about it, I feel like I left a piece of myself on that tiny island. From the white sand beaches at the Bay of Fires, to the twists and turns of the highway in Hellyer Gorge to the surreal landscapes in Cradle Mountain to the charming streets of Hobart, it was 3 weeks and honestly felt like home. I met family on the north coast for the first time and checked out the town where my grandma was from, and got lots of animal encounters along the way too. I’m shocked at how few tourists visit compared to other parts of Australia. Tasmania has so much in such a tiny space.
If we haven't quite convinced you to visit us, yet😉—then surely doing it for *FREE* with arguably one of Australia's most prominent landscape photographers Luke @tscharke, will!
On behalf of @nisifiltersaustralia, we're ecstatic to announce a giveaway to our collective followers—the chance to 'Win' a position on Luke Tscharke's upcoming 4-day Photography Workshop with @brunyislandphotography valued at $3995; 'an all-inclusive environmentally sensitive adventure on the ever picturesque, Bruny Island.'
Just tap our highlighted 'GIVEAWAY' story and follow the link (swipe up on the story) to @tscharke's Entry post and we'll hopefully see you in July; good luck!⠀
What did last year's winner and fellow participants say?
"The first boat trip was incredible. That second boat trip blew my mind. I did not expect that from down here. It’s my first time down here. It looked like something from King Kong, something you’d expect from the northern hemisphere, like the Greenlands, the Icelands, that kind of style—those cliff faces—I’ll never forget that."
—Nathan Goldsworthy @odin.imaging
"The locations you and the team selected were not only visually beautiful, but they’re clearly the results of local knowledge, and I really appreciate that we’ve been entrusted with it. It feels like we’ve been afforded a rare privilege and are now guardians of an important secret. I doubt such feelings could be achieved with larger groups."
—Alistair Haughton @ariscaith
"The food and accommodation were fantastic. I really like the fact it was local produce, so coming home to the @brunyislandcheese, all the Tasmanian wines, the Pinots which I really enjoyed…and there was just so much food, the food just kept coming; so for me, that was just amazing."

"We're photographing Tasmania not as it is now, but as it was" ~ Peter Dombrovskis.
I love this quote I recently heard from Chris Bell as he was reflecting on the ancient environment we still have present here in Tasmania. Let's ensure it stays that way.
Throwback to two weeks ago where we treated ourselves to lunch at @stillwater_tas before returning to Melbourne. It was a nice way to tie off the trip, which was mostly spent on enjoying the natural landscape of Tasmania // Hot smoked salmon churros with dill mayo and pickles
Ready to go for another roadtrip now 🛣️
Not overly excited for this exam period if I'm completely honest, it marks about twelve months from a pretty crappy part of my life, hoping this time around I have a better time of it 🙄
