The answer to that is Ron Clements, John Musker, Howard Ashman and Alan Menken. Ashman originally wanted Joan Collins. His second choice was Elaine Stritch. Musker and Clements wanted Bea Arthur. They also had Nancy Marchand and Charlotte Rae audition for the part. Pat Carol was part of the second round auditions. She was surrounded by movie/televisions stars and thought to herself that she probably wont get the part. Even with the offs against her she went in and gave her all during the audition. One year later Carol gets a call from her agent and the rest is history

Happy Easter! I have always loved Easter. Of course the Easter baskets and egg hunts were always my favorite, but as I’ve gotten older I’ve been able to embrace what Easter is truly for. The most "U"NBEARABLY CUTE and "U"nique Easter Egg Hunt takes place at the Happiest Place on Earth. Disney calls it the "Eggstravaganza scavenger hunt at the Disneyland Resort." It is a really fun egg-themed scavenger hunt. There are three maps to choose from, which include Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, and Downtown Disney. Each location has different egg prizes.
How it works is you first purchase the map and stickers for $6.99 (plus tax) at select merchandise locations, then
You're off and running, looking for hidden eggs. I opted to take my kiddos to Downtown Disney, not having a lot of time, and not wanting to brave the busy parks, DTD was the perfect option for us.
We bought the map at the World of Disney and we were off. This was a fun choice for the egg hunt. The eggs were hidden in stores, ontop of buildings and even on the roof of Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen! It didn't take very long and made for a very fun and inexpensive activity. After all the eggs were found, we returned to the World of Disney store and were able to choose from 6 different eggs. I chose Maleficent, Fiona chose Sleeping Beauty and Donovan chose Dumbo (not pictured). We had such a great time. The Eggstravaganza ends on Easter Sunday. So if you're in Cali and are looking for something to do today head over to Downtown Disney for an egg hunt! It was so fun and "U"NFORGETTABLE !
