Lets talk about self love for a second💕…
I whole heartedly believe that the most important relationship we will ever have is the relationship we have with ourselves. Nurturing this relationship above all others is the key to true happiness. How can we ever be present and full of love for others when we don’t like the person that we are offering up to them. We usually end up feeling resentful for the time and energy we aren’t giving to ourselves. It’s time to eliminate the guilt our culture has pushed on us, telling us that it is selfish to spend time on ourselves. It’s time to step into YOUR #power, whatever that may be and I’m telling you, we all have a power. It’s time to be #gentle with ourselves in our words, our actions, and our thoughts.
Im #excited to share that I’m starting a new self love series called Feeling Yourself Fridays. In this series I will be posting content that will inspire and encourage you to love yourself just as you are. I plan to cover a wide range of topics from nutrition, meditation, natural products/skincare, playful movement… Health and happiness isn’t just one or two things… It’s zooming out, seeing the big picture and finding a balance that works for you.
Happy Birthday to... me🙈😄💕
Happy Saturday everyone🤗 Today is a very happy saturday for me because it's my 15th Birthday!! And will I eat cake today? Yes -homemade carrot cake, my favorite! It's my birthday so yes, I'm going to treat myself. Life is all about #balance . I'm a healthy person and I still will be even after I eat a piece of cake. I believe its so important to have balance in order to live a healthy and happy lifestyle! You only live once, so make sure you treat yourself every once in a while✌💕
Also, on my pink plate is some delicious energy bars which I'll be sharing the recipe for soon!
Not the prettiest picture, but I bet all y’all can get down with some HEALTHY chicken bacon ranch casserole! Clean, paleo ranch, whole30 bacon, chicken, and spaghetti squash as your noodles. You can barely tell the difference 😉 got this recipe from projectmealplan.com!
1 medium spaghetti squash (2–3 pounds)
8–10 ounces raw bacon strips (no added sugar or preservatives), cut into bits
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 small onion, diced (red or yellow)
2 stalks celery, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 pound raw chicken breast, cut into 1 inch chunks
1 cup compliant Ranch dressing (I use Primal Kitchens)
3 large eggs
Cook your spaghetti squash in the oven at 400F for about an hour
Place a deep skillet over Medium heat. When hot, add bacon bits and cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the bits are browned and crispy to your liking. Remove the bacon bits and place them in a paper towel lined bowl. Carefully remove all but 2 tablespoons of the bacon grease from the pan.
Over medium heat, add the bell pepper, onion, celery, garlic and chicken breast pieces to the pan with the bacon grease. Cook for 10-12 minutes or until the chicken is completely cooked through and all the vegetables are tender.
Once squash is done, heat oven to 375. Mix all ingredients together and put in a greased 9x13 pan. Cook for 45 minutes or so until golden brown. Broil for two minutes at the end of you want it crispier. Enjoy!
Taking care of yourself is even more important that usual if you're going through a big transition period in your life like menopause. Check out some great advice on treating your body well and hopefully making this time in life easier to handle!
I'm not going to lie, this week has been mentally tough from studying an intense Crisis Counselling course, to attending a business course and juggling mum life and housework.
I was determined to follow my own self-care advice on Wednesday and booked into a lunchtime meditation class at @meditatemanchester followed by dinner with my bestie @techiesaigon . We are both super busy at the moment but it's nice that we can go a few months without seeing each other face to face but still pick up exactly where we left off and chat for over 3 hours. That's when you know you have a great friendship ❤️.
Get ready to set your ovens to 'Merica! 🇺🇲 cuz you're gonna wanna make this RED, WHITE, & BLUEBS BLONDIE for your Memorial Day Weekend festivities! It's a light and moist blondie (that's paleo friendly) that's bursting with berry flavor!

You probably already know that you're supposed to be eating #fish twice a week. Fish and shellfish are nutrient dense and #salmon is no exception. It is an excellent source of high-quality protein, vitamins and minerals (including potassium, selenium and vitamin B12) but it is their content of omega-3 fatty acids that receives the most attention, and rightly so. It is this essential fat which is responsible for oily fish’s reputation as a valuable ‘brain food’. 👌🏼🐟🧠
Do yourself a favor and eat healthy & clean. 😊
