My loves. What a wonderful life we have.
We spent our Easter weekend with family, enjoying our time together and deepening our relationship with each other.
It makes all the difference.
Hey friends! Exciting announcement over here today! I’m thrilled to announce a new (FREE) resource for parents called “What’s Your Why?” If you, like me, have ever wondered why God put this crazy collections of individuals together to form a family; if you, like me, have ever wondered what God might have had in mind for your unique family; and if you, like me, have ever wondered what God’s purpose for your family might be . . . then this is the resource for you.
I don’t know about you, but sometimes in the busyness of life, I lose focus. I forget that I’m here for a purpose. And when those times come, I can get frustrated when others in my household might have a different agenda.
As parents, just as in marriage, it’s good to be on the same page about the big stuff of life. It’s a good idea to have a family vision that you can communicate to your kids because when we’re all on the same page, life together just seems to make a lot more sense.
Want to think a little more deeply about the WHY of your family? Want to spend some time articulating what you think God might be calling your family to? Then sign up for my monthly newsletter and download your free copy of “What’s Your Why?” today! You’ll find the link in my profile.

Had a wonderful Easter! So blessed to enjoy an awesome service at Eastern Heights Baptist Church, then all the kids and grandkids came for lunch, the big egg hunt, & fellowship! God is SO good! #blessed#family

Who else has a problem with funky smells in the washing machine or clothes that you just can’t get the stink to go away? I’ve got the best combo to help with those smells; Purification and Lemongrass. Purification produces a clean, invigorating aroma and gets rid of unwanted odors. It s a blend of six essential oils, Citronella, Lavandin, Lemongrass, Rosemary Myrtle and Tea Tree. With Purification you’ll never need to worry about unwanted odors. ✨
I add a total of six drops between the detergent and softener compartments of my washer. I also add Purification to my dryer balls. ✨
Adding oils to my laundry has been a life saver. Adios smelly laundry! Especially for the load that you forget and it sits in the washer for a couple hours. Oops 🙊
After the death of a loved one, the most melancholic place is the dinner table. The very same dinner table where our loved one would crack a joke or two.
The very same one where my entire childhood passed by. I saw black hair turn grey.
Grey hair would turn white.
More people kept on showing up.
Never thought we'd lose one. The very same table we'd sing and laugh.
I vaguely remember someone talking about politics.
Someone lighting a cigarette.
Someone telling them to stop.
A careless shrug.
The topic again changed.
Sometimes about stories I was a part of. Sometimes about stories I barely knew of.
Never thought, I would be the one telling a story about you.
The dinner table is still full.
But it's empty.
Our hearts are empty.
We miss you.
We all cry.
Hiding it from each other.
Our hearts are breaking.
Usually you'd be the one to console us.
Now we don't know who to turn to.
It's as if a huge part of us is missing.
So when our aunt tells us that we will be eating at the small table or outside from the next day.
None of us complain.
We just nod.
Cherishing our memories.
Yet, still crying when we think of you.
Five years later and we still don't eat at the main table.
Next week we're changing houses.
It's as if we're letting go of the house now just as we let go of the dinner table.
The memories are there and will always be cherished.
