It’s always on a busy Monday that I find myself thinking about the importance of motion. The differences that arise when I chose to sit and watch TV all day and when I decide to slay my goals and have a day full of motion are crazy! The mind can be tricky and (especially on rainy days) can make my bed, or chilling with my friends, or netflix seem way more appealing than my super hard workout I had planned, going to class, or going to meetings. I have to constantly remind myself that I never feel good after a day of doing nothing when I had plans to do a lot. Rest days are amazing and are usually on Saturday or Sunday, but I find myself wanting to rest more often than just Saturday and Sunday. I have to listen to my body and ask myself if I want rest or if I need it. And then I try to respect either. 10 times out of 10 I feel good (even if im tired) after a day of moving. I try to remember feeling like I’ve wasted yet another week of college after being still for a while (lol), and I get myself in gear and be as productive as I can be! Happy Monday everybody, hope you all take care of yourselves and crush your goals this week! #gymshark66
Wow, yall hear that snap! "If you listen to your body when it whispers, you won't have to hear it scream". This year my main priority for my body is to work on the chronic ailments that I have (ailments before I even started lifting) such as lower back pain and knee pain. So far this year I have only stepped into the #weightroom a total of 3x. My current #workouts have been consisting primarily of #cardio and #bodyweightexercises. I'm not saying I won't be lifting, I just know that when your body tells you it needs a break, give it one! I don't just want a body that looks good, I want a body that acts and feels good and will last me a lifetime.💓
One tired mama. Now almost six months postpartum, and the majority of my exercises look like long walks (2-3 miles a day), stretching, and an occasional @thebloommethod workout. I am back to my prepregnancy weight, but that looks very different now. I’m lacking a lot of muscle mass, but I am being patient and understanding with myself during a time of transition and growth. I am going to pelvic floor physical therapy twice a week (yes it’s a thing! And mamas, please ask for it if you need it!). I am reworking my diet and making sure to set an example for my little man about what we should be eating to charge up our bodies ❤️ being a mama is no joke, but I’m so grateful for what my body was able to do, and the journey I am on to becoming healthier, happier, and even stronger than before this little man came along ❤️. .... #fitmama#postpartumfitness#selflove#fitness#womenwholift#girlswholift#whole30#fitforlife#balance#postpartum#womensupportingwomen#mamalife#fitmom#momlife#healthy
Entrepreneurship is living a few years of your life like most people won’t so you can live the rest of your life like most people can’t 🙌🏻💕✨
I hustled my business while working 40 hour weeks as a Personal Trainer & Nutritionist and while going through infertility & being pregnant. I woke up well before the sun to make every second of my day count. People laughed at me...told me this would never work. .
And here I am 7 years later, answering to no other boss besides myself, setting my own schedule, working where I want...with my kiddos by my side. .
If you want it...go after it. The hustle is worth every ounce of freedom waiting for you in the future!
My next mentorship starts in two weeks. If you’ve been wondering how you can join me and do what I do, message me above 📩👆🏻and I will send you details.👩🏼💻💕
There is nothing in this world more empowering than consistency in trying to reach your goals. Never let anyone tell you you shouldn’t try as hard as you can, as often as you want to make your dreams come true, no matter what they are! Smile and take pride in your accomplishments no matter how small or unimportant others may think they are. At the end of the day ITS YOUR LIFE 😍✌🏻🥰🔥

So my first run today as a 47yr old, was a struggle as coming out of an illness but it got done. Now for the accountability post, got a lot going on at the moment, things in my life making me unhappy, stuff affecting my physical & mental health, some is life and some my own doing. If I want to achieve my target to qualify for @ocrwc this year and represent @teamuk_ocr_official against the best #ocr athletes in the world then changes need to be made. I've not been focussed on eating or drinking right, too much 🍷 and too many unsuitable foods. This needs to change if I'm going to get in the shape I need to be in to be competitive. So cutting out the alcohol in the week & eating better starts now. Well after a birthday takeaway and a few glasses of red first 🙈😂🍷🍲 #health#fitness#ocrwc2019#accountability#changes#habit#fitforlife#weareokhane#befearless#mentalhealth#ocr#onelife#onebody#teamukocr
We love this brand of bags @goodpeople.fr made by local women in Madagascar. At the beginning, they were 6, today it is 17 women who make these beautiful bags with pride, thanks to Clemence, a young French girl who discovered them in 2015.
Wasnt gonna post this nor was it to flattering to me, but I just had about an hour and a half mental breakdown by myself in the shower and took this after. I honestly felt so refreshed after and my face looked so clear so like a weirdo, I took some pics. What I didnt see until now though was the rainbow in the background. I eventually looked up and saw it with my own eyes.(Its kinda hard to tell in the picture but it's here in real time)
Every time I have these mental breakdowns I'm the one who has to pick myself up after and tell myself its gonna be ok.
As I get older these holidays start to mean more than just "presents" and going places you dread going to. It's really about who you actually truly have for these holidays to appreciate and spend time with. I have family and I love them so much, no disrespect. I didn't have a bad up bringing or ever been mistreated, I'm beyond blessed. But in all reality ive never seen eye to eye with them snd vise versa. So this time of year is usually spent going to my family's for a couple hours and enjoying the day by myself.
Anyways, rightfully so I had a mental break down of the thought of this overwhelming ass year..But this validated everything i was beginning to doubt. This has by far been the craziest year for me. But I gotta say, I'm so ready for 2019 and to see where this new chapter and road takes me. Its gotta rain before that rainbow hits. Always pay attention to the signs. 💛❤ 💛❤
