Throwback to one of first CrossFit Comps... I remember competing against some then regional athletes and some athlete's who competed in the Downunder Championship last weekend.
Going down the path of the athlete was not for me, I did not want to spend 10+ hours training every week, I did not want to sacrifice time from family, friends and doing other things I love.
To all those that do compete and do all the hard work, extra recovery, good on you...
You are an inspiration and to your credit, it shows in your performance on the floor.
That life just was not for me. However, for those who are looking to challenge yourself and want to really achieve something amazing, doing your first comp is simply awesome!
I highly recommend that if you have been training CrossFit for a few months and feel ready, you should definitely look to be doing a beginner's competition.
There are plenty out there and they are a heap of fun, where you meet new people just like you, who have fallen in love with movement and fitness.
