Learn to love YOURSELF
We all notice the flaws that we have before we notice the beauty that we have. Its just what we have been taught has humans that there is a way we should look 🤦🏼♀️ That is not okay ❌
We are all guilty of this. Take me for example. I always thought i needed to be blonde not a red head, i thought i needed to be a size 1 for people to like me, i thought freckles were a horrible thing that you shouldn’t have because you’ll get teased. I grew up with kids telling me i needed to look this way and that way and lord did i try !
But then one day it hit me. WHO GIVES A FUCK 🙅🏼♀️ I loved the way i looked, i started to love my red hair, i started to love my freckles, i started fill my body with the proper nutrition so i would be healthier and guess what ?! My ass got fatter and my tummy got flatter !
If you choose to do anything today learn to love yourself, pick one thing about you everyday and tell yourself that you love that part of you and you will start to believe it 💋

Anyone else have to hype themselves up for the set like 5 times before they can actually do it?
Today’s workout was SUPER rushed because i had an on-campus meeting to go to, but it was a great workout nonetheless. I wanted to emphasize how important it is to understand that not every workout will be your BEST workout ever. You WILL have days where you feel sluggish, you WILL have workouts that feel like they did nothing for you, just know that this is okay, and in the latter case, you’re probably wrong! I always say an “eh” workout is better than no workout at all. Even when you aren’t “feeling it”, just get your butt up and go to the gym. .
For me, i know good music, jamming on the way there, and wearing a cute outfit always helps hype me up for a good workout. Sounds dumb? yeah, maybe, but it works for me and thats what matters. .
What helps hype you up for a good workout?
Knees behind your toes?
Let me explain to you guys why this is a myth.
According a study conducted by J Strength Conditioning Research, a subject was performing a squat with both their knees behind their toes and with their knees slightly forward. The results are as followed; "For the unrestricted squat, knee torque (pressure on knees) (N.m; mean +/- SD) = 150.1 +/- 50.8 and hip torque (pressure on lower back) = 28.2 +/- 65.0. For the restricted squat, knee torque = 117.3 +/- 34.2 and hip torque = 302.7 +/- 71.2."
This essentially means that by putting your knees behind your toes can generate slightly less pressure on your knees, but at the cost of generating much more pressure on your lower back. Squatting with your knees slightly forward and your back completely straight would create an insignificant increase of pressure on your knees but would protect your back. To conclude, the notion that you have to keep your knees behind a squat during the movement is false and could be doing more harm than good. Are you guys going to change up the way you squat now? Let me know!
A year and a half ago...I just knew I had to change. I knew my mind wasn’t allowing me to live life and I was in this rut I couldn’t get out of. I was anxiety ridden and depressed and didn’t really have anything to look foreward to. I gained 20 pounds from sitting at a desk and sleeping every moment I could to escape life for a bit. I thought I would continue to be like this forever, but one day it just snapped that I needed a change.
After years of saying I would suck it up and start taking care of myself, @kayla_itsines announced her 12 week challenge at the beginning of 2017 and I thought it was now or never. A year and a half later and I still do her workouts along with weight lifting. If I didn’t climb out of my darkest place and put myself first, I honestly don’t know where I would be. I will always say this program saved me and gave me something in return. BBG girls on my feed inspire me everyday and I wouldn’t be here without all of your support. It wasn’t easy in the beginning and there are still days I struggle, but getting support from everybody and knowing I’m doing this to get better...keeps me going!
I got a message from an old friend the other day saying my journey inspired him to start his own. I teared up reading his message because if I could have just helped one person with my story, it would all be worth it. Change is good!! I used to be so scared of changing but it has put me in a good place and I feel it will only get better from here ☺️🙌🏼

Would you believe me if I told you the girl on the left restricted her calories and actually spent more time overall in the gym.
What changed? 🤷🏽♀️
My overall outlook on training and life 🙌🏼
In the beginning of my fitness journey, I was so confused as to how to train, what to eat.
I finally was able to find a way to transform my body in a SUSTAINABLE & ENJOYABLE way.
That doesn't have me sacrificing my quality of life or my schedule 📆
I have come a long way in my journey from putting pressure and stress on myself to train because I HAD to look a certain way.
It was solely faced on an extrinsic “WHY.”
Since then I have grown to cultivate a completely different mindset around my health & fitness.
I have shifted my internal thoughts to a mindset of working out because it energizes me and allows me to feel empowered and show up abundantly and vibrantly in ALL OTHER areas of my life.
Whether that be in my relationships, business, personal development journey, etc.
Which played a major game changer in my results and enjoyment of my fitness journey!💯
My goal is to inspire you all to take action!
I want you all to achieve complete happiness and bliss with your fitness journey while attaining the results YOU desire 🙌🏽
You can set goals, achieve them by adopting a method that is FUN for you!🙏🏼

Here it is guys. My website is finally live🙈(link in bio). Can I be honest though?
I was petrified to make it live because I know it isn’t perfect. I still need to add my products and set up other features that quite honestly, idk how to do yet and haven’t had time to figure out (turns out going to grad school full time, personal training 20 clients a week, and running your own biz is kind of time consuming!)....
but after months of feeling this way I asked myself “Will you ever feel like it is perfect?!” - NOPE! So I said f it let’s just take a leap of faith and “send it” so to speak (God I’m turning into my boyfriend @kendrik21 )🙃.
At any rate, I’d love if you subscribe to my blog Fierce. Feisty. Fit for monthly updates and tips and tricks to leading a healthy life (sign up via my site!)❣️ thanks everyone for your support and love!
Thanks @wearssarah for the amazing pics on my site!!!
Physical training can become a form of meditation, once your body adapts and becomes addicted to the hormones released during your training. Your mind stops focusing on the pain and it becomes a moment of grounding yourself. .
At some point physical training becomes your needed time of the day to find your center again.
Happy 🐪 day friends!
Already on week 5 of @kayla_itsines BBG Stronger (decided to restart the program for a fresh start) & am so amazed by how fast these weeks have been flying by! These workouts are tough, but these weeks/ months will pass by regardless, so might as well make the most of it & push yourself towards a goal ✨ Happy Wednesday, loves 💖 Xx
My love for this sport continues to grow beyond anything I ever expected when I first embarked on competing two years ago.
The drive I experience from competing filters into so many aspects of my life. It has made me believe in myself when previously I lacked confidence. It has made me push myself further and harder than I ever would have contemplated. It has made me seek solitude after years of mental chaos. This is my drug ❤️
Happy Wednesday! Wow half way through the week🙃! This week has been dragging for me and the days at work have felt incredibly slow😖! It’s just one of those weeks. I also missed the gym this morning because I was sooo tired(sometimes you got to listen to your body). I’m going to attempt to go after work! I love the gym in the morning. After work it’s wayyyyy to crowded and by the time I’m off I just want to go home💬! Are you a morning or evening gym person 🏋🏼♂️
Throwback to bikini round 1. My first @bodiesbyrachel challenge!
Feels amazing just to see how far I've come over the months 😌
I wasn't overweight when I started but I was very bloated, had been working my desk job for a year and a half...felt like I had 0 energy and just wasn't being my full happy/bubbly self! 😊
Started with home workouts, and as my confidence grew signed up for the gym for the first time ever, I am just loving this lifestyle soo much 💕💕💕 I just feel like I'm more the real me and I have #teambbr to thank for that very first step on this journey 💜
Bring on the 8 wk challenge 💪 fun times ahead!!
One thing I’m continuously learning, and that this past weekend has reminded me is that I’m not alone. You are not alone. Whatever you’re going through, whether it’s overwhelming or scary. Maybe you’re embarrassed or worried about what would happen if you opened up about your struggles. Maybe you feel alone in the fact that you like going to the gym and lifting weights when none of your family seems to get it. Trust me, there are people who get you. There are people who don’t judge you whether you’re laughing like a weirdo or crying your eyes out because you feel lonely even in a big group of people. There are people who accept you for who you are. And I want you to know that I accept you and I am always just a message away. You are never alone. Just thought that was important for me to say 💛
