After taking last week off from the gym, I was excited to get back into my routine this week. I felt a little weak and my body hurts all over today 😬 But hopefully next week I’ll be back to feeling 💯💯💯💯

Something I’ve noticed this prep is my ability to keep fullness even on low food and I put this down to my hydration & salt levels being consistent through prep.

The reality is though when you’re contest lean you’ll look pretty good whether flat or full which is just a PERK of low body fat.

As hard as it is, do not get attached to the feeling above, because when prep is over gaining body fat is must and that feeling will go.

And the reality is we just need to accept/love out physiques when gaining just as much as we do when cutting.

Today’s workout was SUPER rushed because i had an on-campus meeting to go to, but it was a great workout nonetheless. I wanted to emphasize how important it is to understand that not every workout will be your BEST workout ever. You WILL have days where you feel sluggish, you WILL have workouts that feel like they did nothing for you, just know that this is okay, and in the latter case, you’re probably wrong! I always say an “eh” workout is better than no workout at all. Even when you aren’t “feeling it”, just get your butt up and go to the gym. .

For me, i know good music, jamming on the way there, and wearing a cute outfit always helps hype me up for a good workout. Sounds dumb? yeah, maybe, but it works for me and thats what matters. .

  • They say “work until your idols become your rivals”, well, we’re working, and I’m putting my heart and soul into this.
4.5 weeks until the last big dance of 2018!
Who thinks I could/should try to jump to classic in the future? 
In no way am I trying to say I’m anywhere near Regan, he is lightyears ahead of me but he is definitely one of the individuals I have really looked up to!

I was petrified to make it live because I know it isn’t perfect. I still need to add my products and set up other features that quite honestly, idk how to do yet and haven’t had time to figure out (turns out going to grad school full time, personal training 20 clients a week, and running your own biz is kind of time consuming!)....

but after months of feeling this way I asked myself “Will you ever feel like it is perfect?!” - NOPE! So I said f it let’s just take a leap of faith and “send it” so to speak (God I’m turning into my boyfriend @kendrik21 )🙃.

  • Knees behind your toes?
Let me explain to you guys why this is a myth.

According a study conducted by J Strength Conditioning Research, a subject was performing a squat with both their knees behind their toes and with their knees slightly forward. The results are as followed; "For the unrestricted squat, knee torque (pressure on knees) (N.m; mean +/- SD) = 150.1 +/- 50.8 and hip torque (pressure on lower back) = 28.2 +/- 65.0. For the restricted squat, knee torque = 117.3 +/- 34.2 and hip torque = 302.7 +/- 71.2."

This essentially means that by putting your knees behind your toes can generate slightly less pressure on your knees, but at the cost of generating much more pressure on your lower back. Squatting with your knees slightly forward and your back completely straight would create an insignificant increase of pressure on your knees but would protect your back. To conclude, the notion that you have to keep your knees behind a squat during the movement is false and could be doing more harm than good. Are you guys going to change up the way you squat now? ONLY GONE AND BLOODY DONE IT!!! Ground school is officially over
14 of 14 ATPL exams are finally in the bag
The gruelling days, stress and copious amounts of hard work have all been worth it! These 14 exams have been the hardest thing I have ever attempted in my life, they are gruelling, unforgiving and damn right stressful!
I cannot begin to express how relieved I am these 6 and a half taxing months are over but at the same time I am so incredibly grateful to meeting so many amazing people and for gaining myself some truly life long friends!
I want to say a the biggest thank you to everyone who has offered advise, kind words or expressed best wishes to me, there were some crazy tough days and points where I thought I wasn’t cut out for this but I’ve happily proved those thoughts wrong!!
My biggest thanks goes to my family and most of all my unbelievably supportive girlfriend @jasminea_brown whom I honestly believe I would not have held it together without nor pushed myself harder than I thought possible!! Now to spend the next few days relaxing before jetting off to Cyprus for 10 days of R&R
