If you didnt know for every gram of fat is 9 calories so it doesnt take much to fulfill these calories. 
I hope you enjoyed this day of vegan keto. It was two meals short, simple, and sweet.

The hip thrust is one of the most underutilized exercises there is for the lower body, specifically the glutes. Next to squatting and deadlifts, hip thrusts are easily one of, if not the best, exercises to for the glutes. Strong glutes transfers over into so many functional movements in sports, performance, and other exercises like squats and deadlifts. Hip thrusts also involve good core activation which can definitely help develop core strength, especially as you up the weight on the barbell. Make sure your form is right and your spine remains neutral. Squeeze your glutes at the top of the movement and keep that core activated. If it is a new exercise, I highly recommend starting off with an empty bar to get the form and movement right, then move to light weights in the 15+ rep range before slowly progressing to the heavier weights. So much to post today as I've been doing so damn much. First thing first is the video tip of the week!

Last week we talked about foot placement on the leg press and today we are talking about foot placement on leg extensions. 
1️⃣ Turning your toes inward! Focuses greatly on the outside of the quads. You'll really feel it.

2️⃣ Toes pointing outward! Targets that inner thigh much more.

3️⃣ Toes point upward or neutral! This will evenly disperse the load across your whole quad. Nice and slow reps!

When it comes to training to build a big back, it really isn't all that complicated and doesn't have to be.

1️⃣ Pick a horizontal pull. Examples being row variations such as a barbell, DB, cable, or seal row.

2️⃣ Pick a vertical pull variation such as pull ups/chin ups or lat pull downs.
-
3️⃣Perform 10-20 sets per week for your back using a combination of the above exercises.

4️⃣Progressively overload your movements week to week by way of adding weight, reps, or sets.

5️⃣ Do the above consistently over a long period of time.

And that’s really all you need!

Put it some slight work today and loaded 225lbs on the bar for the #romaniandeadlift for the 1st time ever.  I was actually surprised on how well the weight moved especially because I don’t normally use a lot of weight with this movement in particular.⁣
⁣
✅FIT NURSE TIP: The key to this particular lift is to pull with your hamstrings and engage your glutes while keeping your core tight. ⚠️Remember to keep the bend in your knees minimal. ⁣

❇️FUN FACT: I prefer to train bigger muscle groups with a cardio session on cheat day first thing in the morning to make room for all the ungodly amounts of calories 😅⁣

Stretching your chest is something a lot of us can benefit from. It can help relieve upper back pain and allow you to breath better. This is great for those that bench a little too much, spend too much time looking down at a screen, or have a desk job. Make sure you don't twist during the stretch, and take the opposite leg of the side being stretched and bring it forward. Hold for at least 30 seconds.

When you focus on something long enough you'll get the result your looking for. 
My squat form used to be garbage but now it is way better. I've watched all the videos and read all of the articles but I was missing something simple. A good warm up, this changed my squat completely, I am able to squat so much lower now. I am doing @megsquats Stronger by the Day program and it is AMAZE BALLS. I am honestly blown away with this program and it's only my first week. The warm up that we do everyday gets my body ready to kick some ass and I freaking love it. I love doing woodchoppers. A functional, full body movement that benefits you in strength, cardio and stability. I did my chops on the Freemotion cable system today. With the woodchoppers, you are trying to stimulate the motion of swinging of an axe obviously. Involved are your core, responsible for any trunk flexion and rotation, shoulders and arms, and a little help from the hips as well. ⠀⠀

I alternated between over-the-shoulder and wide swings with my arms extended. This provided different planes of motion for my torso to move in and varying levels of core activation. To keep my heart rate high, I did 4 back-to-back alternating rounds of 20 heavy reps per set. 4 sets in total with a 90 second recovery in between. ⠀⠀
