In the gym we count everything: reps, sets, pounds, calories, macros, etc. Social media & the internet floods us with messages to QUANTIFY our training, nutrition, and overall lifestyle. Not only do all of these messages tell us that COUNTING is the only way to track progress, but we also assume every piece of advice COUNTS and is correct. Just because a chart or scale says one thing, doesn’t mean that number is the end-all-be-all. Sometimes progress is not quantifiable with just one number. There is no number that sums up better confidence and energy that results from progress in the gym. Also, just because someone throws numbers at you does NOT mean they know what they are talking about. Just a thought….
Second leg day of the week. Still doing HIIT for 20 minutes 5x a week and eating about 1800 calories a day @ 7 weeks out. Today I started out by doing HIIT with the ropes thinking that would be easier than pushing the sled before I started on legs.... but those ropes are so heavy!! ➡️ Finished up (and closed up the gym) with some posing. 🙆🏼♀️ It was an exhausting 2.5 hours!
Surrounded myself with Anytime Fitness trainers, co-workers, and clients today working on improving our health & fitness!
Absolutely loved watching people achieve things they never knew they could ☺️
My week started on Friday and so far it feels rushed and my workouts have been a bit half hearted. My TDE has taken a hit by being in the office for a week which is not good in terms of diet progress, but I’ve tried to keep on track as much as possible by switching a few things up:
☑️ Not getting transport to and from my car, walking instead
☑️ Going for walks on my lunch
☑️ taking small snacks as I find that being in an office means I get bored easily
☑️ keeping motivated for my evening sessions by thinking about my end goal
Small changes have made me feel less overwhelmed and if my physique doesn’t change this week, it will at least maintain!
Double post when you’re feeling good SORRY.. but this is the most satisfying bowl on the planet plus it’s pretty, yeah enjoy xo😘.
Started my day with a 10am ass kicking by @sciencemeetsstrength and then I got my nails done so we are ALL aligned here✌🏻!!!
Spring mix salad🥗 with salmon🐟, sweet potato🍠, yellow squash, avocado🥑 and tahini
One of my favorite sayings of all time.
Just remember what is your number one priorety and go out to achieve it.
Life's distractions can hold you back and divert you off track.
Don't dwell on it and get back to your main goal ASAP.
✌️ And ♥
Still fantasizing about this sandwich last night🤤. If you know anything about me an seestah it’s that Farmhouse is OUR PLACE. And since she’s leaving me for the summer, this is the only way to send her off😢🥪!
My sandwich is chicken🍗, pesto, mozzarella🧀, roasted red peppers and a side salad🥗 with tomatoes🍅, shredded carrots🥕 and white balsamic
Holly’s sandwich is her usual breaded chicken🍗, cheddar cheese🧀, bacon🥓, chipotle mayo and a side of fries🍟
Working a full time job while working a full time dream. Tips on how to be a badass at both: 🦋
1️⃣ Get around the right people. I have the most supportive team in the world. We’re all trying to make some massive moves. So be around those who push you to be better & help hold you accountable to your dreams.
2️⃣ Schedule your day so it’s fool proof. Take your to do list and organize it throughout your day in a way that’ll make it difficult for you to end your day without everything checked off.
3️⃣ Girl, believe in yourself. We all have a tendency to discredit ourselves when we think of how capable we are. You can do anything in this world my friend. Don’t ever be afraid to fail. Every failure is a lesson. If you need to be afraid, be afraid of staying the same.
4️⃣ Self care like a mf. You are doing so many things so remember to take the time each day to take care of your body, soul & mind.
