A week of traveling for a business conference and meals out - still lost 1.5lbs and found a couple opportunities to workout and do cardio. Hotel gyms are usually pathetic, but at least this one had some dumbbells. No excuses, if you don’t at least try to do something physically active then you just don’t care. Diet-wise, I would get egg white omelettes for breakfast, and ate low carb the rest of the day. No alcohol or sugary drinks. It’s hard when you’re entertaining customers, but it is doable, you have to just care enough to do it. I’ve learned that it isn’t “I can’t eat right and workout when I’m out of town” but instead “I choose not to make working out and eating right a priority.” Once you learn the difference, you’ll find it much harder to convince yourself that it OK to skip workouts and eat poorly. You’re the only thing stopping you from doing great or doing awful. No outside influences or issues except you. Take control and do it!
Little late but thought I would hop on the Trend, cannabidiol (CBD) has a lot of major benefits, plenty of research out there for it Ill let you know how it is and my opinion on it after few weeks of use 🧠 #cbdoil
my attempt at making an omelette fails again 🤦🏼♀️ 1 egg + egg whites scrambled with leftover veggies from the veggie pasta I made this week (post coming soon) and a drizzle of carolina peach hot sauce (my absolute favvvvorite hot sauce)! also with a side of avocado toast on @naturesownbread wheat bread and a sprinkle of @traderjoes everything but the bagel seasoning! 🍳🥑

#saturdaysweatsesh inspired by one of my favorite fitness experts @athleanx 💪🏽😄 This was a killer for my core, shoulders & even my grip 😅 I tried to make the transition between kneeling & sitting as smooth as possible but it’s going to take some practice. Try it! It’s not as easy as he, Jeff Cavaliere, makes it look 🤣

❇️(not shown) DL lockout/form-specific practice at #115.
❇️Conventional DL triples at #167.5 (regular grip).
❇️High bar squats at 6x #115.
❇️SL landmine RDL w/straps at 8x #70.
❇️GHRs at bodyweight x8 with a 3sec hold in extension and an *attempted* explosive raise.
I've recently started pulling conventional after experiencing some knee pain in sumo stance. While my numbers are lower in conventional I've actually found I prefer this set up! I feel more solid and confident in this stance.
I'll still pull sumo, as exercise variation is necessary for strength gains, however I'm going to focus on bringing my numbers up in conventional from here on out.
I'm now headed out to hit my second upper body day for the week. Triples on bench and heavy back work is the plan 🙏
