- Форель 1-2шт. свежемороженная;
- Кулинарная лаванда 1 с.л.;
♠️ [ENG’S Wantan Noodles]
[•] If you reside in the far east of 🇸🇬 and love Wanton Noodles, you’d prolly be pretty au fait with the brouhaha that developed over ownership of the legendary ENG’S Wantan Noodles (formerly located at Dunman Food Centre) about a year ago. If not, it’ll suffice to know that while the original owner’s kids continued their father’s legacy through ENG’S Char Siew Wantan Mee (located just across the street), half of his ex-staff and 👨🍳 continued toiling over ENG’S Wantan Noodles under a new investor/business partner.
[•] Internecine infighting aside, ENG’s Wantan Noodles have acquired a reputation over the years primarily because of (i) their traditional (and homemade) springy egg 🍝 and (ii) their fiery 🌶 sauce. Indeed, the latter point is commented on almost without exception on food blogs.
[•] So what did I make of their storied Wonton Noodles? The 🍝 were indeed springy and pleasant to the taste buds. Contrary to expectation, the 🌶 wasn’t at all 🥵 (to be sure, there was some some kick, but nothing that would require dousing out with an ice-cold glass of water. Then again, my spice tolerance is a little higher than the norm, so take this with a pinch of salt). Older folks may also recognise the old-school style Char Siew (rather hard to find these days), which is both lean and incredibly tasty. The Wantons were also tender and flavourful.
[•] I recognise, however, that ENG’S 🍝 might not be for everyone. My partner, for one, did not like the fact that ENG’S Wanton 🍝 lacked the familiar “black sauce” (soy sauce + 🍅 ketchup and occasionally a hint of 🌶) that one finds in other renditions (typically 🇲🇾?) of the dish. But to each his/her own I suppose. Assessing ENG’S Wanton 🍝 on its own merits, I’m inclined to give it a 4.6/5 on the neshrating.
The perfect start to dinner at @kingshighwaydiner: a wedge salad for two. Between lounging in the pool and heading out to dance at #desertgold2019, this delicious combo of creamy dressing and crunchy bacon is keeping us energized through the night. Good thing, since the music goes till 2am at the @acehotelpalmsprings!
To those who skipped meat over the holy week, maybe this would inspire you to go back to the dark side! 😂😂 kidding aside, reward yourself with some crispy pata! It’ll be a hectic week for all of us I’m sure 😂 #favoritekonato

🥐 Gotta love me an almond croissant 👍
Quickie stop over at @flourmillcafe for an afternoon snack and coffee made with @kokakocoffee. *
Effortlessly enjoyable, such a beautiful little shop, colours and deco are very refreshing and pleasing to look at.
This croissant here was super crispy on the outside and those inner layers are so moist (I'm not sorry I said that). On point.
They also make some pretty drinks in a take home bear jug, maybe next time 🧸
📚 Croissant fact - this delicious breakfast food's original form was called the kipferl, and was first documented back in the 13th century, in Austria.
The modern day croissant was only established when an Austrian man established a Viennese bakery in Paris in the 1800s. Obviously becoming hugely popular in France since then.
If you don't know, now you know 💡
Caprese panini - Italian word (Ka’pre’ze) • the caprese is also served as a antipasto, however this is such a cafe hit for us that we make these zesty caprese panini daily for our Tutto tasters as a main course lunch meal! But also can be served all day!*made to order -
- Fun fact! The caprese features the Italian flag colors! Green red and white! 🇮🇹 🥗 🥪
I expected to post photos of hot cross buns and chocolate today, but alas no. It’s this Easter Daisy I am obsessed with. I buy it as soon as it appears at my local greengrocer @palamarapeninsulaproduce for a few weeks over the Easter season, it’s so pretty. Lamb has been slow roasting in the oven all day and we’re looking forward to a late afternoon feast. Happy Easter everyone x
Kids don't try this at home 😂😁😏
Definitely not healthy eating
My cheesy prata burrito dinner
I had a double egg prata in the fridge, toasted it with a slice of raclette cheese
Kewpie mayonnaise and 3 slices of shoulder ham
Rolled it up like a burrito 🌯, crispy and juicy
