Meet Chum Mey! He was imprisoned by Pol Pot and the Khymer Rouge in Phnom Pehn, Cambodia! He and six other men survived this barbaric prison because he was 'useful' to Pol Pot and his Lieutenants! Some men were kept alive because they could service equipment like typewriters and others because they could draw and paint portraits of Pol Pot!
If you were not considered 'useful' you were simply murdered and thrown in mass graves at the killing fields!
Chum Mey visits his former prison most days to meet tourists, tell his story and sell his books. He always has a smile on his face!
