Here’s a clip from a shoulder workout I did the other day! Definitely not an Olympic weight lifter 😂. I’ve been doing a lot of standing overhead pressing lately because I like how it requires the whole body to work together to properly do the move. So here is a variation with a clean added to the move! My goal was to never let the bar stop moving and oh boy did it get my heart rate up. Strength and cardio mixed in to one!

Welp, there’s no denying that the sauna is in the garage!
It’s been a struggle to push through my perfectionism with this new adventure of Nutritional Therapy, sauna service and holistic wellness.
“It’s not good enough” “I’ll launch it when I feel ready” “People won’t take me seriously if it’s anything less than perfect”
These thoughts crossed my mind too many times to count and I’m done. Done waiting for perfect, for the ideal situation, for 100% confidence.
I don’t want to be stagnant, too afraid to make mistakes, to not move forward and be bold.
Here’s to throwing caution to the wind and going for your dreams ✨ Now who wants to sauna?? In my parent’s garage, no less 😉

I'm not going to sugar coat it - this morning has already been tough for me mentally. The babies just have not been sleeping well and last night was horrid.
Henry would wake up crying even though he was with me, I'd have to stand up and rock him back to sleep and then when I sat down still holding him he'd start crying again. We did this multiple times and Liam didn't sleep great either.
Not one of the four of us had a good night's sleep, and although today's workout was not my best effort ever, I still got it done.
One day left of my program and I'm going to keep pushing through 💪
It has been a hurricane of a week filled with a lot of stress, more #anxiety than I ever want in a week and what feels like 3 minutes of sleep. There have been tears. There has been a lot of coffee. There has been reflection and difficult, yet productive, conversations. Living with anxiety is intense and it can feel overwhelming and this week it was intense and it was intensely overwhelming. It has been a hurricane of a week but storms bring rainbows.
This was also my last week of this phase of my workout program. I have not missed a workout the last four weeks. Despite all the stuff happening this week I did not miss a workout in fact I attacked the workouts. I ended them drenched in sweat and one day with mascara running down my face because I forgot to take it off the night before! These workouts were a non-negotiable this week. I easily could have slept in, skipped the workout and threw in the towel but that is not who I am. I am really glad I still got up, I still pushed play.
Life happens, boy does life happen. I have felt like much of this week was out of my control but my workouts were in my control. They were a perfect outlet. It feels like this "hurricane" is weakening, it feels like the sun is breaking through those ever persistent clouds. Next week I start the last phase of this workout program. I could not be more excited. I have never done every phase back to back to back!

Okay. Can someone please tell me an app that will add music to my videos that’s not THIS! 🤣 I downloaded 5 different apps and couldn’t get any of my music onto my videos. The point of this video is to help give some motivation. My son was quietly playing so I picked up a pair of dumbbells and got sweaty opposed to sitting on my phone on my BUTT! #getsweaty
RESISTANCE BAND BOOTY WORK!
1) Start with the band around the working ankle (under the ankle weight) with the opposite hand holding the band with the palm facing in: Crossed Ankles Lower to Attitude Lift. Shoot for 20-30reps. SLOW! *Engage the core & back. ▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️
2) Same position with leg lifted in attitude: Straighten to Arabesque as Leg Presses against the band and lifts higher than the level of the hip. Shoot for 20-30reps! Repeat both exercises on the opposite side. 👍🏼
Inversions can be a scary thing when you first start practicing. The thing to remember is everything takes time. Start by preparing your body with strength. Chaturanga is a great place to prepare the strength in the upper body needed to hold the poses. Ask one of our teachers to help you with the prep work and ways to work into arm balances and inversions #yoga8#heartcorehappiness ❣️
If want it then have to make it happen.
