▪️ I am a NICU (neonatal intensive care) nurse, one of my passions I always wanted to pursue
▪️ I have a younger sis that I’m very close to
▪️I’ve been lifting for about 3 years now, but consistently since this past January when @toneandsculptapp launched!
▪️ my family, pets, and friends mean the WORLD to me
▪️ I’m only about 5’2 lol ▪️ my favorite to workout would probably be any legs/glutes ▪️ my bday is coming up soon soon and I’ll be 23!!
▪️ I am from West Virginia aka “mountain momma” or “country roads take me home” ▪️ my current goal is to continue fitness& health with @toneandsculptapp and hopes to meet @krissycela and the rest of T&S fam soon!!

Up to 70kg now 💁♀️ not bad for someone who months ago couldn't even stand up from a seat without intense pain in my knee 🤷♀️
This whole squatting game is new to me as I've never bothered with squats due to pain 🤦♀️ but then thought to give it another go since my knee felt alot better after alot of different options to try and build my legs without squats 🤷♀️ .
Enter 👉 box squats
The last 3-4 months I've been doing them and managed to get to 100kgs so then decided to move to just squatting the bar and see how I went...it went well so added weight and now I'm here 🤗
Form needs work clearly, but happy to be able to progress with minimal pain #beconsistent

👋🏼 hey, one month later. Been backpacking Europe and let me tell you it’s been LIFE CHANGING. I’ve never felt for clear, alone, challenged, excited, and amazed in life. It’s been a ride, but I head home in a few days.

Good morning! 😊 What’s your AM routine like?
I start all my mornings the same. A glass of water 💦 and then 15 minutes of meditation 🧘♀️ to set myself up for success.
Training is FAR more than the miles you put in. The work is almost secondary to your 🧠 mindset!
To get comfortable 🤫 I sit in the spare bedroom with the door closed, fan on for white noise and I set a timer for ⏱ 15 minutes and close my eyes. The goal is to clear my mind and not think at all - rather, let myself float in a semi-conscious state where I just live in the present and 😑breathe.
Some days it’s harder than others to stay quiet and calm for 15 minutes. But, like with anything, it takes practice. I highly suggest you add meditation to your day ... the earlier in the day the better! 🙏🏻

If he ever makes you question your worth, ESPECIALLY in the beginning, walk away or you can even run... and sometimes you actually should. The same goes for men because even as a woman, I know that some women can be just as venomous as men. Trust me, I’ve had my own venomous moments that I’m not proud of but I’m human - just like you. I’ll be honest, I don’t date and I have no interest in doing so. Why? Because no one meets or even remotely exceeds my expectations in how I deserve to be treated and loved. A good friend of mine and I have discussed this at length and it’s okay that barely anyone meets the standards we have set for ourselves. The universe has also told us, “It’s not your turn yet darling.” Setting standards does not make you vain or high maintenance. There is nothing more attractive in a person when they go in knowing what they want, how they expect to be treated, and how they want to be loved. Setting standards protects your heart, mind, and soul and we all know how crucial it is for those to be healthy. Everyone on this Earth has something precious to offer someone else and the ability to love unconditionally. The universe will without doubt give you life experiences that will break you, destroy every precious piece of your core, but also give you moments to get right back up. I always say that life doesn’t give you what you want, it gives you what you deserve. Our paths might all be different but no matter what, we all struggle - some more than others. Ironically enough though, all these experiences help to form us into a more compatible person for someone else. Someone else that we can love easily at their worst moments but love them even more at their best. That’s just how it goes. We meet the most important people in our lives when we are consistently improving ourselves and when you look at each of those people as the essential puzzle pieces to help put you back together - you realize all those painful experiences

Late night gym session before my long weekend away!
