As salamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu
Meaning: May the PEACE, MERCY and BLESSINGS of Allah سبحانه وتا الله be with you.
This universal greeting of Islam has its roots in the Holy Quran wherein Allah سبحانه وتا الله instructs us to greet each other with the words of Peace and As Salaam is one of the names of Allah سبحانه وتا الله which means "The source of Peace". Our beloved Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم used to use this saying when greeting the people and encouraged his followers to do so, 1440 yrs later Muslims around the world continue to greet each other with glad tidings of Peace Mercy and Blessings. This greeting forms a basis for respect for each other and when receiving a greeting Allah سبحانه وتا الله advises us "When a courteous greeting is offered to you, meet it with a greeting still more courteous or equally for Allah takes into account all you do" Holy Quran (4:86) Can you imagine a family, society, nation that continually sort peace and blessings towards each other😊
Alhumdulillah if people truly believe and have faith in these simple words, we would have less anxieties, depression, anger, hatred etc
After all as an individual don't you want to live in Peace surrounded by Compassion and filled with blessing after blessing😊
Let's be mindful of our Greetings Insha Allah we pray it will lead Humanity towards Harmony💐
Enjoy your day🤗
Namaste has been derived from two Sanskrit words 'nama' meaning to bow and 'te' meaning you. It's a beautiful way of greeting people in India. Namaste is basically a way of saying hello Namaste is wished by folding the palms together resembling the prayer position.It is use in the practice of yoga as an important Mudra,known as 'Namaskarasana' accompanied by slight bowing of head. Namaste is a way of expressing that you and I are equal. While saying Namaste, the folded hands are usually kept close to the heart, thus indicating that I am glad to meet you and also acts as a mark of respect for elders.
Your spirit is the same as mine and therefore there is no difference between you and me.I welcome the place where you and I meet.My energy salutes the energy lying within you.I recognize the power of divinity that dwells in your heart.
«Как дела» и причём тут Королева Великобритании?
Всё логично, ведь если вы спросите ‘How do you do?’, то это должна быть ну ооооочень формальная встреча, на которой обычно жмут руки, обсуждают политику и слияние компаний и вот это вот всё. И это даже не вопрос про как дела, на самом-то деле, а вариант приветствия вместо ‘Hello’. И только в British English! Потому забудьте этот вопрос!
Если вы просто хотите узнать у человека, как он/а поживает, вот несколько вариантов:
▫️How are you?
-> I’m fine, thanks. And you?/ Very well, thank you. What about you?
▫️How are you doing?/ How is it going?
-> I’m doing well./ It’s going well. Иногда можно услышать простое ‘Good’.
▫️What’s up? / What’s new? / What’s going on?
-> Not much./ Nothing.
▫️How are things?/ How’s life?
-> Good. / Not bad.
As we are drifting closer and closer to full on Summer weather here in Texas, I am starting to get into the appropriate mind set for this time of year. I am not now, nor will I ever be, a fan of the actual summer heat, but I can still get behind the ideas of lounging at a pool, icy cold tropical adult beverages, a trip to the gulf coast, cookouts with friends and family, big floppy hats and sunglasses, etc. So, inspired by thoughts of bright, summery colors, and with my stationery stash starting to look a somewhat depleted, I went on a little spree this week and came home with two new sets of note cards that just screamed "Summertime!" I have a couple folks that I want to send some happy thoughts too and if my words don't work, I am hopeful the adorable stationery will help. ❤️ P.S. The writing on the flap of the second set says "snail mail" in French. 😂 I love it!
