GUT HEALTH is a HOT 🔥 topic and Science is showing that if we can balance our gut bacteria, we can significantly change our metabolism.....Different bacterial species will convert the same foods into different end products. This means that if we have a harmful balance of gut bacteria EVEN HEALTHY FOODS, and convert them into compounds that lead to fat storage, insulin resistance, gas production, and inflammatory compounds.

I have been super sick these last few weeks so getting uni work done has been a challenge! 😪 so this week while I’ve been feeling better I have been binge watching my lectures and my brain is exhausted 😂😪😴
Working on my relationship with food.... it’s not a good one... it’s been a bad week... I’m in pain from hurting my back and being on my period and I’m tired from getting my IV and I’m done with being cold from winter... basically I’m being a sook and realizing how much power my emotions, especially the negative ones, have on my food intake...it was an eye opening weekend that I’m learning to process... #healthyandhappy#maintenancemode#learningnewhabits#foodisfuel
The things I wish I could go back + tell this girl- I’d start by saying...
You are more capable than you believe.

You are able to do hard things.

Pesto Oven-Roasted Hasselback potatoes is your go-to potluck dinner.
Slice thin slits in small potatoes
Brush the potatoes with olive oil and stuff the pesto in the slits you made
Oven bake for about an hour at 200C til golden brown and cooked.

Today is a big day for me!!! I started bench pressing (33 pounds currently), put 2 more pounds on my curling bar (currently 22), and added 15 pounds to my leg extensions (currently 75)! This is absolutely mind blowing to me. Before, I couldn’t imagine myself where I am today. I’ve never felt stronger, happier, or more fit. Working out isn’t just physical, it’s mental too. You have to tell yourself to push yourself. Curl a few more times, build up your strength. Before you know it, what you’re currently curling will seem like nothing. If you don’t have a strong mindset about working out, you won’t get very far. You’ll quit when there’s no need to. You’ll say “that’s good enough,” instead of, “omg I can’t believe I did that much!” If you have a strong mindset, and you’re determined, you are more than likely to reach your goals. Keep pushing yourself to be your absolute best!

I doubted myself and thought 'how am I going to do this'...get back in shape, stay on top of the house, be a mom and get my business back after taking a year off?
There was a point when I didn’t think I could do it; I had the baby blues. I was emotional, hormonal and physically drained. You’re so exhausted as a new mom, you don’t even have energy to take a shower but you know you need to take time for yourself.
So what did I do? I turned my I can’ts into I cans. The enemy of belief is self-doubt and most of us experience or have experienced some sort of self-doubt in our lives that has held us back. You can do anything you put your mind to❤️! “
