Would you look at this adorable baby boy😻!!! This is Cary and he is such a sweetie. He came to us from the shelter with his brother Grant and they have come lightyears from when we first got them! They are no longer interested in their cage, they love to play with the feather wand and they have lots of fun with the other kitties! These boys are super sweet and even though they are a little shy, with a little love and a gentle touch, they are sure to warm up to you, as they already have with our wonderful volunteers. Grant and Cary are about 6 months old and are hoping to find their forever home! You can go to hitor.org to download an adoption application and email Nixie at email@example.com to set up a meet and greet. #carygrant#furbaby#sheltercat#cute#cat#baby#babyboy#adopt#adoptdontshop#adorable#hudsonvalley#kitty#kittycat
The Berkshires 🏔 will always be one of my favorite places...even when I’m freezing ❄️ my backside off in the middle of winter. •
However, besides reminding you of my love for Western Massachusetts, I’d also like to remind you that this was once Mohican land and (contrary to popular literary titles about the last of them) the Mohicans still exist across the country. You’re never not on native lands, friends. Remember and respect that.
Also - just in case there’s any confusion - I am not an indigenous person. People (aka white people) tend to assume that anyone who is even somewhat aware of indigenous issues must identify that way. Caring about indigenous peoples and their history is not confined to those in that group. (Thanks for coming to my TEDtalk...)
