Today I asked the kids if they knew how lucky they are to have NYC as their playground?! Visiting the zoo in Central Park, listening to musicians in the tunnels, watching artists sketch on the walkways, seeing skaters on the rink, and horse drawn carriages going by. Going home they wanted to roll down the windows to “hear the sounds, smell the smells, and see the sights!” That made me realize they get It! Here they are posing with this crazy seal who was out looking for the sun like the rest of us. Either way, it was a perfect day with special friends. Kids make you stop, look around, and make you wait while the stomp in puddles. Just don’t eat that dirty ice lol 🤣 We all need a little of all of that! #nyc#centralpark#playgrounds#zoo#ilovenewyork#walksinthepark
A long time ago I took several art and history classes in college. For a couple of those classes I was fortunate to have professor Sharon Park. She's a very outstanding and passionate instructor and she taught me so much about art, art history, and so much more.
And although I had visited several museums before taking her classes she implored her students to keep patronizing art galleries and museums. "Go see for yourself," I can still hear her speaking these words. So, on a recent visit to @met_museum a flood of memories came rushing back. So many artifacts she introduced us to were literally mere inches and feet away from my nose. Such a humbling experience. If you love art I encourage you to, "Go see for yourself." Thank you, Professor Park.
