Beautiful skies and a fresh coat of snow at Aple di Siusi, also known as Seiser Alm, the largest high-altitude Alpine meadow in Europe. In the winter, it is popular among skiers with numerous ski fields available. In the summer, this is a stunning place to visit as well, with lush green meadows and dramatic mountains.

Twelve river trips and this photo always eluded me. Mt. Sinyella is a beautiful desert tower standing 1,500' above the Esplanade floor. It's my favorite summit in all the Grand Canyon. I've photographed it from the air, the rim(s), walked around it multiple times, and shot it from nearly every imaginable angle. I even have this composition from prior river trips. But I really (really really) wanted a moody shot where Sinyella was capped in snow. This was finally my lucky break.
The night before we camped at Upper Ledges. At dusk the winds kicked up and we watched a tent with the group at Lower Ledges blow into the river and promptly sink. Reflecting on our superb tent anchoring prowess, we all ran to our tent pads and added a few more rocks on the corner anchors to be sure that didn't happen to us! It rained hard and cold rain all night. Our kitchen crew showed their mettle with the rainy 4:30am coffee call. We needed an early start to set us up for another big adventure. We launched at 7:15am and I rowed to get well ahead of the rest of the group. As we passed Lower Ledges Camp one guy was on the groover waiving a 20 TP square surrender flag. Sinyella only comes into view for a short time. Mike St. Pierre took the oars while I fished the camera out of the ammo box and waited with anticipation on what I'd see. We rounded the corner just before the sunrise and the clouds were getting light. Oh man .... it was divine. I vacuumed most of the photons out of the scene onto my SD card before the other boats came around the corner.
Did you know that the Alhambra, located in Granada, Spain, was ruled by Muslim Moors until almost the end of the 15th century. This #unesco site was originally built in 899 as a fort, and wasn’t converted to a palace until 1333 by Yusuf I Sultan of Granada. It was conquered back by Spain under the rule of Ferdinand and Isabella in 1492, same year they funded Columbus’s expedition to the new world. (April 2013) 🇪🇸

This year has been explained to me a lot of things. So now I'm going home again.. this time a little longer. This time differently.. I would really like to hug my mommy with daddy, and through a hug to convey what's in my heart. I can't tell you that I miss my country, no, just these feelings can only be understood by parents.
I strive upwards and upwards only! Like a tree whose goal is to get closer to the sun. Like a bird, the goal of which is to be close to hardy birds. Not looking down, not slowing down. Tear off those who are not particularly wanted. Who are passionately willing, will walk side by side with you. Just keep staying cool.

A little about me_ My great pure love destine for nature and animals. I am a vegetarian, and I like a plant, my mood depends on the warming sun, I love to be watered with compliments and smiles. Fragile and emotionally sensitive. At the same time I like to give warmth and I can not stand it when someone is sad or a person is unhappy, I always try to help as much as I can. With a great pleasure open to new, interesting, entertaining. Well, that's a little information about myself🙃
I don’t teach anyone, since I am not a teacher, not a philosopher. I am not a model to be perfect. I don’t show off, I don’t need it. I'm just the one, who is open to the world, for new knowledge, for new acquaintances. I like to experience new and vivid emotions, because this is the sense of life - to enjoy life, you need to be natural
