This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, 100th anniversary of the Harlem Renaissance, 400th anniversary of the forced African Migration, 100th anniversary of women getting the right to vote
This year marks a lot of anniversaries that speak to use as LGBTQI identified, as a Black race and as Women. During this forum we will discuss the movements that have taken place over the years…centuries to get us from where we were to where we are now.
• What has changes for the better?
• What still needs to be changed
• How are we helping to create and facilitate change?
• Where do we stand in these revolutions as LGBTQI Women of Color?
During the Discussion we will also be making bags and creating posters for the NYC Heritage of Pride Parade
Food and drinks will be provided
