My entry for #shadowpresleypoe
I've always had an interest in hair and makeup and considered making it a career but that became a distant dream when my life was completely derailed five years ago. I was in a car accident that permanently altered my life, and now I live with a chronic pain condition. I thought my dreams went out the window that day. It's been five years of fighting to get through each and every day, slowly trying to overcome my illness; however, I am finally at a point with my health where I am able to work towards my dreams again. Six months ago I took a leap of faith, even thought I wasn't certain that my illness would allow me to succeed. Every day is still a struggle, especially with such a physically demanding career path. Despite the difficulties, I love what I am doing, no matter how rough it is on my body. I am the happiest I have been in years. I have finally decided to take back my life. I am not my illness! I will no longer let it define me or what I can do! Winning this contest would prove to me that I've made the right choice and all my struggles so far, and those to come, are worth it.
New techniques produce new results and I’m LOVING this beautifully blended wet balayage I did today on my wonderful client, Kate! She was previously lightened, so I did a wet balayage with a base color to protect the hair’s integrity while still brightening her up! Price breakdown below!
Full Balayage Touchup: $175
Base Color: $20
