Good morning Instagram. it’s been a while i’ve been busy with work and photography and of course my little treasure Elena. she’s growing up so fast that I wanted to spend less time on social media and concentrate on real things. I have a new website if you wanna check it out and tell me what you think, the link is in my bio. i’ve been taking photography classes I want to know more and more and I want to do great things! Hello weekend. It’s me, Amanda Smith. I wanted to drop in and officially introduce myself to newcomers. Seeing as how I would much rather be behind the camera than in front, I brought my children in for my first #fridayintroductions. .
1️⃣ I married an ex NFL offensive lineman. Nick signed with the Jets in 2007 and went on to summer training with them. He ripped his hamstring and had to leave before the season started. He was cut shortly after, but went on to get his Masters in Nuclear Engineering. Now he is prepping to return to school to get his PhD. I can’t say, when we were dating, I didn’t enjoy playing his character in NCAA Madden 2007. .
2️⃣ I’m introverted in the best of ways. I often manifest a look of confusion when I say this to others. Mainly because I can possess the ability to portray extrovert behavior. But it doesn’t last. It’s short lived and I have to find time to recharge alone. I love the quiet. I’ll find places to retreat in my home that fill my ears with silence. I find refuge in the friends that add substance to the relationship. I do not know how to be anything short of intentional. .
3️⃣ Book stores and libraries are my sanctuaries. I have loved to read from the moment I could put words into sentences. It’s an exhilarating escape into new worlds and other’s thoughts. The smell of books and turning the pages gives me a bizarre satisfaction. One that can not be met simply by reading a screen. .
4️⃣ I’m an avid Crossfitter. My husband and I started CrossFit 8 years ago. It’s been apart of our routine ever since. We find functional fitness to be an entirely wonderful asset to our marriage, mental health and ability to keep up with our energetic babes. The community and family friendships add so much value to our experience. Side note: Competition terrifies me. (Insert the enigma).
Wanna hear something kinda crazy?! At one point in time last year, there were eight pregnant mamas on my street, including myself. 🤯
We’ve nearly all had our littles + now we’re just waiting on one more to make her arrival in April! ♥️
I’m adding Amelia’s fresh 48 gallery this morning, obsessing over those beautiful blonde highlights + thinking about how sweet it is that so many families around me have grown in the last few months. What a blessing all these kids are! 😊️♥️
(Also I’m a sucker for babies.. clearly! 🤣)
You made it through another week!!!February is almost up and that’s super spooky. So I’m thinking about doing another day of styled couple photos in mid March (around March 16-20), if you and your boo would be down for that HMU/comment/dm/email/text whatevs just tell me :)

this week i felt this urge to write about something different and share how i got to this point on the blog and ig. So today on the blog, i’m talking about what quality content means to me, how much it has cost me, and experiences that have shaped my opinions on a few different things. .
I think you should read, it might be my best blog yet. something everyone should be able to learn at least one thing from. Even if you aren’t a blogger. Link in bio 😊 happy friday! 📷: @57thphotography_
✨Try to look at your current situation as an adventure rather than an obstacle. Look for the possibilities, there are more than you think. Don’t look at things as black or white but search for all the colors in between. ✨

Photos can be emotional. They can be fun, bring smiles and tears and they can hurt. Last night, as my two turkeys tucked in for the night, I scrolled through the 20k + photos and videos on my phone of them (excessive? Naaaah). These moments in life are something I don’t have much of from my childhood. These moments are what I give my children for their future to hopefully look back at and smile about. Someday when we look back together on these moments, I’ll shed tears while being reminded of their small features and all I can hope is they smile and feel the same happiness. Photos have brought on a flood of emotions for me always; as they do for many others. I try to be as intentional as possible when capturing these moments of my children and you. My goal, when capturing these images, is to make you look back at these one day with a smile and to “spark joy” as Marie Kondo would say. If you shed a tear, I hope it is still filled with positive memories and reminders of the beauty in your life.
To celebrate Pete turning 6 months, we’ve been hitting up the Nebulizer. 🎉 Poor buddy tested positive for RSV, Jack has pneumonia and Lucy an ear infection. 😷. All week I have been thinking how ordinary and predictable this situation is: mom of 4 kids in dead of winter rotating nebulizer treatments, Tylenol, and antibiotics, all while fantasizing of frolicking in the fields on a perfect sunny day 🤣. It’s the perfect backdrop to consume ordinary actions with great love but by golly, St. Therese, it is so much easier to read about then to practice!
With my personality type, I have a hard time promoting myself. So naturally I started a business where it’s required 😂 Some days the marketing and social media game just gets old. I have to remember my success is not in the numbers, but in happy clients, and that’s always the most important thing! So instead of a catchy comment to attempt engagement to beat the algorithms, how about this: I’m Molly, I like to take pretty pictures. If you want some pretty pictures, call me 😘📷
Friday ~ means a HUGE yes to cocktails!🍸✨
