It’s been a min since I’ve had anything besides my go to usual spots ... Friday night a friend of mine suggested we try out @spiceofnepal, she swore that the Momo’s were a must and staple dish. never the less, this was my first time trying Nepalese food and let me tell you it was so delicious 😋 •
1) Nepalese Pan fried Chicken Momo’s
2) Chicken Choyla a traditional dish from the Newari Thrives on Kathmandu, served with dry puffed rice
3) Nepalese Chowmein with egg
Overall I’d give this place a 10 out of 10. From the food to the service everything was delightful. Not to mention their extremely generous with their portions. If you’re in the lower mainland give this place a go and you will not be disappointed.

BAKERY STYLE VANILLA CHOCOCHIPS MUFFIN
280gr Tepung Kunci
1 sachet Dancow bubuk (26gr)
1 sdm Baking Powder
1 sdt Baking Soda
1/2 sdt Garam
250 gr Chocochips
60 gr Butter (lelehkan,tunggu hangat)
60 gr Minyak goreng
180 gr Gula Pasir
2 butir Telur ukuran Besar,kalo kecil ya 3
250cc Buttermilk (250cc susu+3sdm air jeruk nipis diamkan 10 menit) aku pake Ultramilk fullcream
1 sdm Ekstrak Vanilla/pasta/essens
- Aduk jadi 1 semua bahan A diwadah
dan Aduk semua bahan B di wadah lain
- Masukkan Bahan B ke dalam Bahan A aduk pake Whisk secukupnya jangan berlebihan nanti keras muffinnya
- Tuang dalam cup muffin,panggang 180-190 derajat selama 25 menit sesuaikan oven sendiri,lakukan test tusuk
This was the perfect meal after a 20KM XC Ski. The one time I can load up on pasta! This is so delicious 😋 and really quick. Basically this is coarsley ground black pepper cooked in olive oil until fragrant (smells amazing!). Add to that cooked pasta, chopped Swiss chard, pecorino Romano and some reserved pasta water and presto it’s done.
So I ended up in Sunnyvale for some pan fried pork buns at Shanghai Flavor Shop, but they were closed on Tuesdays 😱! So naturally, I ended up a couple of doors down in the same plaza! Asia Village was a lot better than I had expected. I have a pretty high bar when it comes to Cantonese cooking, but this place was 5 stars for flavor!

All this rain has got me craving for some serious comfort food! What better than the half spicy / half original pot at little sheep Mongolian hot pot!

😋My must haves are the garlic beef, knife noodles, fish balls with fish roe and grilled lamb skewers (not many ppl order these, but you won’t be disappointed, trust me)!
