Psalm 34:18 “The Lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those crushed in spirit.”
I am not a stepparent, but I have been a stepchild. My stepmother loathed me. Pride, bitterness, and control were her weapons, but in reality, those were her shackles. She lived in a perpetual state of heartache and emotional volatility, by her own choosing. But our Heavenly Father provides a path to heal the agony of rejection so often found in blended families. Our gracious God gives us a way to break free from the shackles of bitterness, unforgiveness, and pain. Pray to the Holy Spirit to reveal any pride and sin in your life and for the strength to purge its control in your happiness. Pray to the Holy Spirit to fill you with peace, joy, comfort, and love in every difficult circumstance. Devote yourself to reading His word and accepting His convicting, discerning spirit. God will be faithful to break satan’s shackles from you so you may live a life free from dark resentment. Our Heavenly Father is waiting for you. He wants to love you and set you free from a burden that satan binds you to.
If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, you will lose eternal life with our Heavenly Father and spend eternity in Hell. If you are ready to live a life of rejoicing through His blessed sacrifice, please consider accepting him into your heart today. If you are ready for Jesus’ saving grace, please pray the following prayer:
Lord Jesus, I ask you to forgive my sins and save me from eternal separation from God. By faith, I accept Your work and death on the cross as sufficient payment for my sins. I thank you for your mercy, unconditional love, and sacrifice. I pray, Dear Lord, for your strength, wisdom, and determination to live as a child of the Lord Jesus Christ.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
If you have just prayed this prayer, congratulations! You have received Christ as your Savior and have made the best decision you will ever make- one that will change your life forever!
This one hit me hard at church a few weeks ago. Think about it... if you’re a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, His power is yours. May we never forget this and then act as if we believe it!!! @cbcsocial
