  • 🇲🇽 🦀 🌴 M E X I C O ☀️ 🐠 🇲🇽 Mexico always proves to be a good time. I kept thinking about something every time we interacted with different taxi drivers, tour guides, concierges, towel guys, waiters, airport employees, everyone! The country gets a bad rap in American news and it’s really untrue and unfair. The least @mr_gettinfitwithb and I can do is just show how amazing the people are and how well we are treated every time we visit. I have NEVER visited anywhere in the USA where I’ve felt SOOO cared for by everyone. They ensure your comfort, they ensure your safety, they have learned beautiful English so there aren’t communication barriers (impressive), they anticipate your needs and offer things you didn’t even realize you wanted or needed yet. Everyone we met kept a smile on their faces and made us feel at home. I’m in no way lying when I say I felt much safer exploring in Mexico than I do a new city in America. And we visited a lot of establishments, walked and biked through towns, and took quite a few taxis this trip. Everyone made us feel welcomed and gave perfect directions, recommendations, or just plain good conversation. It’s not “only on the resort” as everyone tries to tell you (You know the whole “stay on your resort and you’ll be safe” speech 😑🙄). It’s everywhere. The Mexican people are caring people, it’s part of the culture, and you feel it. Please go. Tip well, they deserve it and they earn it. Don’t let urban legends stop you from experiencing this beautiful country and it’s friendly people! Book a high qualify resort and you get high quality food and drinks. We love @secretsresorts and @excellencegroup resorts. And we also stayed in Tulum at @alayatulum at the start of our trip (so amazing!) We visited Tulum restaurants and rented bikes, the Tulum ruins, YalKu Lagoon, did a cave snorkel/ATV/zipline excursion with @aventuras_mayas, walked and shopped the town of Akumal and watched the World Cup at @labuenavida_akumal while eating and having a drink on the beach! Not a bad experience anywhere.
If you’re interested in a Secrets, I know it looks expensive on the website but deals can be found, or let me know we have a discount for referrals. 🇲🇽 🦀 🌴 M E X I C O ☀️ 🐠 🇲🇽 Mexico always proves to be a good time.
