Three days till @capcityhalf and let’s just say — I’m training is LACKING!.
Ohio winter + anxiety + feet issues = no training what so ever.
I did drop from the half to the quarter which let me tell you, not my happiest moment. But sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do!.
I’m going to go out on Saturday and give it my best. That’s all I can do right?
My 2019 season has been unexpected and disappointing. My training has dipped due to illness and surgery (x2). I made the executive decision to sacrifice a good tooth and some bone to end a chronic infection I didn't know I had. I'm glad I registered for the major ones later in the year and I can salvage this year still. One thing I learned about triathlons is that things will go wrong it's about how you can overcome them and how quickly. I will be playing catch up on training but very fortunate to have the support circle that I do. Proud to have them and can't thank them enough. What is the one quote I can't get enough of... " it's not about how many times you fall, it's how you get back up again after getting kicked in the teeth " something like this? I'll bounce back just not as soon as I wanted. #comeback#athlete#triathlete#staystrong#livestrong#swimbikerun#ironman#ironmantraining
Coach @nackhilton on how he prepares his athletes to hit their goals: "When I'm working with an athlete my goal is to progress them to their goals through a blend of different intensities. I base all the training I write in Jack Daniels' methodology, but add in a mix of other philosophies that I have picked up in my experiences as an athlete and a coach."
