#naturebeauty#seekandfind "relationship/friendship that needs to end, Divine moves people out of your life, at a specific time and place. Take authority of your own energy. Don’t allow others to claim your thoughts, only YOU have to live with your mind. Not others. If others are not going to take your mind home with them, which you should never allow, don’t allow them to label you or attach their beliefs to you. You are your own sense of worth and others never have to understand it. It’s not for them. It is for you." -Quornesha S. Lemon🖤♾ #sourcemessagesaturday 🌈
26 years young and I'm on my 5th adventure of a lifetime, I must be doing something right. Ruc mon cave was a blood pumping thrill like I've never had and I loved every second of it. Words can't describe it.....something you would have to experience for yourself. @devcoates101#seekandfind#bebold#vietnam#safetythird
‘Remember why you started’ // You’ll come across set backs but what you overcome you gain strength in something new.
Keep looking towards what excites you and what you enjoy. Make time for them because they matter, it’s part of who you are and you matter.
Through the highs and lows, keep spending time in these treasures and with those that bring out the best in you. Choose something that you enjoy and lock it in this week! 👏🤙
In 2017 I received the greatest blessing of my life, finding Jesus 🙌 ....as I write this I realize some of you may think I’m crazy or naive. I know this because that exactly what I thought of believers prior to God revealing himself to me.
Now he is calling me into a season to BE STILL, so that’s what I’m going to do...spend time checked out of worldly things, and The Jenerosity Show so God can continue to transform me.
I’m slowing down and letting go of the guilt I used to place on myself when I’m not doing, striving or achieving.
I’m going to passionately pursue the Lord and pray that he heals my mind, teaches me to discern his voice, and gives me his wisdom and strength to carry out his will.
I’m excited 🤗 to spend more time with him studying and meditating on the word, praying, and fellowshipping. “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7
My Bette Davis inspired look. I made it B&W so my hazel eyes would appear blue like hers. Curled my super straight lashes to the extreme and added two coats of mascara. & added lipliner and a bit of lipstick 💄. Bette Davis had such a presence, and I love what a strong woman she was on and off screen. “I survived because I was tougher than anybody else,” she once said. She was a great actress. Now, Voyager is my all time favorite. It’s definitely one that I can watch over and over again #bettedavis#makeuplooks#nowvoyager#seekandfind#theuntoldwant
Who else loves a British beach holiday? We spend time each summer in Devon and the Isles of Scilly - I’d say we’re at our happiest when by the sea, so it’s bonkers that we’re about as far from the coast as you can get in England!
Primrose has talked about the beach every. single. day. since we last visited so I expected her to love this ‘Look and Say: What You See at the Seaside’ book by Sebastien Braun. However, it’s actually Wilf who won’t stop bringing it to me to read - he is obsessed with find/seek books at the moment and the bright colours and little details have him hooked, just like Sebastien’s ‘Can You Say it Too?’ range, though this book is definitely more in depth, with a varied range of coastal spreads - beaches, rock pools, cliffs, estuaries, harbours... just about every possible rendering of our coastline.
What *has* caught Primrose’s attention is ‘Go Wild at the Seaside: An Adventure Handbook’, which I’m pretty sure she’ll be using as her bible this summer! Goldie Hawk’s practical yet humorous writing is bursting with:
- Ideas for things to do at the beach, from her age and up, such as building a pebble arch, making your own kite, creating driftwood boats, snorkelling, skimming stones and collecting mussels to eat. Yum!
- Useful information about beach zones, what to take and what to do if you’re strung by a jellyfish!
- Facts about creatures, flowers, beach safety and environmental awareness.
And all perfectly partnered with @_rachaelsaunders‘ fun, animated illustrations. I’ll pop more detail in stories soon.
Both children (and we!) are really excited about our summer holidays and these books are adding to the excitement - they’ll definitely be coming with us. Both are available now, published by @nosycrow, in partnership with @nationaltrust. Thank you for these review copies.
Now tell me... where are your favourite beaches? .
What are you looking for?
Progressive Christian author Rachel Held Evans died after a sudden illness this month, at the age of 37, and the world lost a courageous and compelling voice for truth-telling and all-welcoming love.... her intention to find and apply the balm of healing by standing firm for spiritual hospitality and everyone’s right to dignity, respect and the freedom to find their own path to grace.... Peace be with you, Rachel. And with your family.
Here is the longer version of Rachel’s quote: “If you are looking for verses with which to support slavery, you will find them. If you are looking for verses with which to abolish slavery, you will find them. If you are looking for verses with which to oppress women, you will find them. If you are looking for for verses with which to liberate or honor women, you will find them. If you are looking for reasons to wage war, you will find them. If you are looking for reasons to promote peace, you will find them. If you are looking for an out-dated, irrelevant ancient text, you will find it. If you are looking for truth, believe me, you will find it. This is why there are times when the most instructive question to bring to the text is not “what does it say?”, but “what am I looking for?” I suspect Jesus knew this when he said, “ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened.” If you want to do violence in this world, you will always find the weapons. If you want to heal, you will always find the balm.” ― Rachel Held Evans, A Year of Biblical Womanhood
Who am I?
Any answer is incomplete.
Are you what you do, what you create?
Are you your body, how you move?
Are you your mental state?
Is it the emotions or the thoughts
that tell you who you are?
Is it the heart or the brain that answers?
Is there anyway to prove what is you?
Are you so sure you can identify yourself, separate from anything else?
Is there a beginning or an end of you,
that can give you a clue?
Is what you see all there is,
or is your belief of what is,
the reason you see?
Why have we started anywhere but here?
Why are we pursuing something else
other than ourselves?
Why must we go out to find ourselves, telescopes and microscopes alike?
Isn't what we have found good enough?
Isn't it obvious, isn't it clear
that its all right here?
Isn't it wonderful to be,
