This is so hard for many of us. What I am coming to learn is that it’s okay to say ‘no’. I don’t have to be rude, or abrupt (I’m a work in progress with this part), and I don’t have to explain myself.
It’s not easy. People might be offended, not understand, or want an explanation, but that’s on them. You can’t control how others react, but you are in control of the choices YOU make. Say ‘yes’ to the people and things that are moving you towards happiness and your goals. Say ‘no’ to the people and things that stress you out, are negative, or suck you’re energy. Those things do not need to be a part of your journey.
What’s something you are doing today that is solely for YOU, moving you toward YOU GOALS, making YOU HAPPY, or helping you to set HEALTHY BOUNDARIES?
Self care morning.
First, a good night sleep, followed by a light breakfast, than the chiropractor, now a break at Starbuck thinking up topics to post fir the up coming, and next a visit to Studio L for my hair and some pampering.
Can't do this during the work week, so I make sure to schedule self care into my weekends.
A little self care can raise your energy and immune system, and help you make it through the work week.
Our weeks are so busy with working 40+ hours plus the commute. Then cooking, cleaning, and family can leave little time for self care.

The finished herbal tincture that’s currently working great for a family member’s shingles.
We made 2 versions. One has peppermint and the other has lemongrass instead, no menthol. So it’s a good mosquito repellant and good for itchy bug bites.

Awaking to a message from your sister that rocked me to my core: “Tom’s died.” Had I been standing, I would have crashed to my knees, I rolled out of bed, in my grief I slumped down to the floor.
Self-medicated with heavy spirit, watering down my drinks with tears, reflecting on our paths' divergence, sinking into introspection, “one” more drink to try and slow my mind’s dervishly whirling gears.
The momentary shattering of my heart is echoed by the breaking of glass, the bottle hurled in misplaced anger smashes against the other empties strewn amongst the trash. “Left us too early,” surely, “Gone but not forgotten.” I truly miss you, my friend, words will never suffice. I thank you for your teachings, challenging me to deeply examine what I wanted for my life.
I couldn’t make the funeral. Distance. An excuse that became a reason. I pay you full tribute, in living a life with purpose, exorcising my demons and turning dreams into actions. You’re an instrumental thread. I’m grateful for our bond, woven in my fabric.
💪 I'm seriously so proud of myself for not only losing 5 lbs. since last week but for making better choices and improving my workouts. It's ALL mindset! Keep pushing yourself in anything you do because you will get through it. I've lost 26 lbs since November 2018 and it's the most weight I've lost in ALL my weightless journey attempts 😆
