Terry Rozier would be on his A-Game if he was the starting SG for the Celtics.
He thrived last year's Playoffs behind Horford, Tatum, and Brown, and whenever he started for Kyrie when he was out this season. Rozier is better whenever he's surrounded by players that are better than him. He always defers the ball to his colleagues and willingly reduces himself to a high-energy-defense playing spot-up shooter, which is what he's best at. Too many times this regular season have I seen TRo be on the floor with the bench unit (players that are only ARGUABLY better than him), hork up the shot clock, and jack up contested mid-range bricks.
The bad news is Rozier would likely not be a better fit for our starting lineup than Jaylen Brown is, and certainly wouldn't be a better option than a healthy Marcus Smart. However, the good news is Scary Terry seemed to accept his role this Indiana series, playing gritty defense and squaring up around the perimeter, so here's a toast to that continuing through June. Yes. /June/.
