Was mainly here for the soup dumplings which were okay. It could be better but it helps soothe the craving for soup dumplings.
1) Fried Duck Dumplings (4) - letter C13 on the menu. Lots of dough and a bit oily on the outside. But has decent amount of stuffing inside. It was good but probably wouldn't get it again.
2) Steamed Beef Soup Dumpings (6) - letter C11 on the menu. Dough was a bit thick when it should be thinner but soup was hot and meat was juicy and tender.
3) Steamed Beef & Crab Soup Dumplings (6) - letter C12 on menu. The addition of crab was interesting but probably wouldn't get it again. Again, the dough was too thick and the orange crab meat on top of the dumpling was weird.

two staple dishes you need to try if you go to taiwan!
ㅡㅡㅡ (1) LU ROU FAN (braised pork on rice) [~$3]: a taiwanese fave! you can get it at restaurants or at night markets, either way it's usually pretty delicious everywhere (tho there's a really popular place near Chiang Kai-shek memorial hall but the line was far too long). (2) XIAO LONG BAO (soup dumplings) [$5]: prices depend on where you go to, but on a scale of night markets to the og din tai fung the most you should expect to pay is 35 NT / dump ($1.10 AUD) 🥟
