Tate Modern's first big show of the year opens tomorrow. It's an exhibition on painter Pierre Bonnard and he lights up the place with his bright colours and vivid paintings. Here are some of my highlights from the show that opens on 23 January and runs through to 6 May.
Bonnard was a contemporary of Matisse. While Matisse was the post-Impressionist revolution, Bonnard was more of an evolution.
Received the @medibank#feelgoodprogram yesterday and was immediately inspired! 💪 this morning I unwrapped and unrolled my yoga mat, and did a 10 minute yoga routine I found on YouTube. I hadn’t done yoga in years! But the poses were familiar and I felt great 😄 yoga is one of the offerings of the #feelgoodprogram which is free, no bookings required and will be held at South Bank and the City from 28 January to 30 March 👍 thank you Brisbane Marketing ☺️☺️☺️
22 of 365 Days of Blogging: We are not that big on museums but we’ve been forced to experience a few in our life time! My sister in law and her best friend are gurus when it comes to art, galleries and the like. I can’t complain though, they have a knack for it and great taste, we always get shown the best of the best! @qagoma definitely makes you want to come back time and time again. With its ever changing art exhibits, prime location and quirky store, The Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art has a lot to boast! It’s not your average museum and you definitely will not get bored! Did I mention it’s free! Pictured is oil on canvas - vibrant figurative paintings - by Zico Albaiquni. It stood out to me the most because of its bright colour palette and detail 🎨 ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
