Where's Billy!? (Had to change it for copyright)
One of the few places where the annual ticket you're forced to buy is absolutely worth it. Have been 5 times and still not seen everything.
The most complete historic dockyard in the world.
The largest brick building in Europe at quarter of a mile long.
Still fully functioning commercial ropemakers.
Some stunningly inspiring bits of industrial design and architecture, not just boats! ...but lots of them too.
You can hire the space in this picture for events. It's in the top of one of the large sheds about 50 feet from ground floor. It looks down over a grave yard of locomotives and massive machines that made the industrial revolution. Really awe inspiring.
#onthisday 100 years ago, German submarine SMU 118 washed ashore right in front of the Queens Hotel in Hastings, England
It was towed to Scapa Flow when, during a storm, the towing cable ripped and the next day the people at Hastings woke up to a surprise.
The submarine became a popular tourist attraction and helped the town to raise money for returning veterans.
