On my way to Singapore, I sat down at Kyotatsu in Tokyo’s Narita Airport for a quick bite of some real sushi 🍣
I grabbed a fatty tuna & pickled radish roll😋🤤
It was a great snack & satisfied my craving for sushi😍
Definitely check this place out if you have any layover in Tokyo and can’t venture out of the airport for the goods😜 Kyotatsu has seating at the sushi bar so you can relax and eat or you can buy takeaway!
I’ve been in beautiful British Columbia for the last month, visiting my boyfriend. I made this apple pie as a belated Valentine’s Day treat for us today. I used @katemcdermott recipe from #artofthepie! 🥧

Today was an active recovery day. I hit the upper body during my lunch hour and then after work got 3 easy miles in on the treadmill. I've been trying to eat more lately as my activity has gone up. Tonight's supper was brussel sprouts, Alfredo risotto, and a quorn patty. Then afterwards I warmed up an equivalent to nearly 3 bowls of legume and black bean soup that my wife and I made last night. It was surprisingly delicious and very filling! Even though I'm not 100% vegetarian, I do eat a majority of my meals without meat which means I need to 1) eat more and 2) make sure our meat substitutes have enough protein. And I try to limit my soy intake. So far I've been eating enough as my weight is still above 170.

En una sartén grande! Con un poco de aceite de oliva y margarina sofríe cebolla, ajo y tocino ahumado picado! Cuando esté bien sofrito todo agrega harina y deja que la masa que da como resultado cocine por lo menos 2 minutos!
Cuando haya cocinado, agrega vino blanco y mezcla enérgicamente con ayuda de un fuete, agrega leche poco a poco hasta que la salsa tome la textura que deseas, cuando esté lista agrega, parmesano, sal, pimienta y nuez moscada molida. Incorpora la pasta recién cocina y disfruta

It took me a long time to fall in love with my body. One of the main comments I get almost everyday, especially with being so petite, is usually about the amount of food I eat. Typically falling along the lines of:
“You’re so small! How could you possibly need to eat all of that?”
“How does that all fit in your stomach?”
“Where does all that food go?”
Along with many others.
When I first started running competitively in middle school, I had little to no knowledge about nutrition, so I generally agreed with the masses, believing that I didn’t need as much as I was consuming.
It wasn’t until I started running competitively in college that I realized I actually did need more food, that I did need the 3 plates of food I get at dinner after practice, and that I did need more calories than my not as active peers.
When you’re training at such a high level, burning off all of these calories, your caloric needs go up not only to avoid being hungry and to survive as a human, but to repair muscles, recover, remain heathy, and to ensure that you have the energy to perform at the best level you can.
The motto now when I go out to eat and someone asks if 5’, 115 lb me can finish a meal is: “Watch me.”
