Time is tricky. You have whole months, even years, when nothing changes a speck, when you don’t go anywhere or do anything or think one new thought. And then you can get hit with a day, or an hour, or a half a second when so much happens it’s almost like you got born all over again into some brand-new person you for damn sure never expected to meet…
Rengarenk kostüm ve maskelerin karnavalı bugün başladı!🎭 Her yıl düzenlenen Venedik Karnavalı'nın ortaya çıkış hikayesi biraz ilginç. Şöyle ki; Avrupa’yı bir dönem esir alan veba salgınında Venedik nüfusunun yarısı hayatını kaybediyor. Hayatta kalan insanlarsa hastalığını ve yaralarını saklamak için uzun kıyafetler ve maskelerle dolaşmaya başlıyor. Maskelerdeki üzgün ve donuk ifadenin de o dönemde yaşanan sıkıntıları sembolize ettiği söyleniyor. Bunun yanında maskelerin insanlar arasındaki sosyal statü farklılıklarını ortadan kaldırmak amacıyla kullanıldığı ve zamanla karnaval sırasında giyilmeye başlandığına dair rivayetler de var. The carnival of colorful costumes and masks began today!🎈The story of the Venice Carnival is a bit interesting. According to the story;
Half of the Venice population died due to plague that Europe suffered in 14th century. Surviving people start to walk around with long clothes and masks to hide their disease and wounds. The sad and dull expression in the masks is said to symbolize the troubles experienced at that time. In addition, there are rumors that masks are used to eliminate the social status differences between people and that they have begun to be worn during the carnival over time.🎭
Walking past this house today in the Cotswolds reminded me that, though he wouldn’t tell anyone this, The Holiday was one of my Dad’s favorite Christmas movies. This isn’t the house from the movie but it sure looks like it...and I’ll take it.

I took this photo just before my previous post that I published today. I know that it’s different than the posts that I do usually, but I think it’s time to make my feed a bit more colourful! But if you look at it closely, you can see some buildings in the background! 😁 |#london
“May the space between where you are and where you want to be inspire you.” I have been sharing from my Brussels all week and today I will be answering questions about the city. Ask me in the stories. Happy Saturday lovelies 💕💕💕
That feeling you get when Friday hits and you got the weekend to look forward too...hallelujah #fridaynightlights I'm here for it all! What are your plans this evening guys?
I'm just taking a flash back to my stroll (last Friday) around Hampstead, and remembering how adorable this Italian restaurant was...such a quintessential side road with the cutest charm. I remember walking towards this romantic-setting, thinking how nice it would be to cuddle up with someone on a Friday night out with a glass of wine, and celebrating the end of the frikken week....heck it's a bloody well damn accomplishment - so cheers to that...are you feeling me on this one haha?
Hope you all have an amazing night out guys, and maybe if you're around Hampstead, you can pay a little visit to this sweet little Italian restaurant, Villa Bianca.
Where do you typically find pubs? Well....most definitely not in the most discreet and alluring of places. I have to say that I surprisingly, by the cosmos of this galaxy, came across this delightful traditional Georgian pub, while I was wandering around a back road that was tucked away in the main streets of Hampstead.
It's located in such a picturesque spot - and what makes it even more distinctive is that it adds even more history and character to a small and quiet cul-de-sac. (not that Hamsptead is lacking in any character at all...I mean you can't get any more adorable than this!)
▪️ I think this is absolutely perfect for those of you that are looking for a get-away-escape from all the chaos that tends to happen in Central London. All you have to do is just sit back, relax, sip your drink, chat with your bestie and take in all that idyllic ambience. Can you think of a better way to end off your day?

You know....everytime I decide to wander around Hampstead - particularly because I want to get away from all the hustle and bustle that comes with living in London - I somehow find myself experiencing a fairytale-like affair. The side roads and alleyways of Hampstead just have this power of leaving you filled with wonder, from its charm to its historical picturesque landscape, I can't help finding myself coming back again and again.
I mean come on, take a deeper look at the photo I've taken and don't tell me you don't see yourself avataring (yes this is a word I just created so, go with flow on this) into 'MyLittleHideouts in Wonderland'... (yes I know I took out 'Alice' from this scenario, don't kill me for it, just feel my imagination with this one)... and taking a sip of tea with the mad hatter under the tree, where you would OBVIOUSLY find the talking cat - pshhh goes without saying.
Okay so with my, clearly, outlandish imagination, it is without a doubt fair to say that Hampstead leaves you feeling enchanted by all its adorable character and charm. Which is more of a reason for you to take a little trip down NW3.
Left Tallinn, along the road to Tartu, I opted for a one-day stop in the lovely town of Paide. The pretty colorful wooden houses🏡, the castle🏰, the church⛪ and numerous historical sites🏚️ await you for a pleasant visit. Enjoy🤙🏼
