Happy Wednesday friends! Fitness is something that’s been really important to me the last few years. I’ve prioritized working out at least 5 days a week and eating healthy but honestly after my wedding I felt like I got in to a rut. I wasn’t working out as frequently and my eating habits were good but they weren’t great.
So this year I decided I wanted to step my game up and on January 17th I started working with a nutrition coach ( her name is Rachel and she’s AMAZING) and man what a difference five weeks can make.
Believe it or not there’s only a 2lb difference between these two pictures🤯. Which is why I’m so glad that working with Rachel includes taking pictures and measurements because without them I wouldn’t be able to see how my body has changed these last five weeks based solely on what the scale shows.
I never thought that I’d be the type of person to count macros, mostly because I didn’t know what it was but here I am. I love doing something that makes me feel like I’m making wise choices with what I eat, is clearly working and is so sustainable.
When I think about why I’m doing this it’s about so much more than just being skinny or thin. For me, it’s about feeling strong, secure in my skin and like I can do anything that I set my mind to.

One full year of difference between the photos on the left and the ones on the right, baffling to me to see that I looks better now at 277 than at 253, I have bulked up a lot since then and will continue to do so, this transformation isn’t exactly what I would have wanted in a full year but I fell off the wagon and only got back on in November, excited to see what I can achieve in another year. #transformationtuesday#onedayatatime#oneyeartransformation

I know I'm late on #transformationtuesday but here it is. Completely different stages in life, completely different mind set. Will I ever get back to the first picture!?! Who knows, right now all I want to do is stay active and have a healthy pregnancy! .
Now, if this snow would just go away so I can run outside that would be great, thanks mother nature!
How to create a healthier PB&J! 🍓🥜🍞
I’m all for recreating childhood favorites with new upgraded ingredients.
Here’s what’s I used in my upgraded PB&J:
▶️ 2 pieces of sprouted of bread like Ezekiel bread
▶️ all natural peanut butter like
▶️ 1/2 - 1 cup mashed raspberries
▶️ 2 pieces white bread
▶️ conventional peanut butter
▶️ conventional jam
▶️ Lesson of the day: not all brands are created equal - make sure to check nutrition facts & ingredients. There are definitely healthy versions of peanut butter or even raspberry preserves if you prefer that over mashed raspberries but steer clear of jams with high fructose corn syrup added and peanut butter with vegetable oils and added sugar.
▶️ Wonder bread vs. Ezekiel bread - Wonder bread has such a crazy long list of ingredients I couldn't even fit it in this caption reasonably. Where as Ezekiel bread has the following Ingredients: Organic Sprouted Wheat, Filtered Water, Organic Sprouted Barley, Organic Sprouted Millet, Organic Malted Barley, Organic Sprouted Lentils, Organic Sprouted Soybeans, Organic Sprouted Spelt, Fresh Yeast, Organic Wheat Gluten. Simple and minimally processed - now that's a win!
The healthy choice is obvious and reminder to read the label on your bread brands too! 😜❤ .

I posted this on my personal insta yesterday with the hashtag #transformationtuesday, and I’ve been mulling over it for a minute. You see the sweet, four-eyed seven year-old in the top right? She lied during her eye exam so that she could get some fun glasses. These were multi-colored and so fun... and still at my parents house in Mississippi. That awkward 12 year-old girl in the bottom right battled a lot of self-worth and self-image issues into her twenties because of this awkward phase of life. She never felt beautiful and struggled with confidence because her friends were all gorgeous and she played the comparison game. It wasn’t until her early twenties that she felt she was coming into her own. That girl on the left with a sassy smirk and eyes all aglow, I love her. She’s confident in who she is, and she is learning to love every aspect of herself. If there is anything I ever want any girl to know is that she is beautiful the way she is whether it’s the tomboy, the nerdy girl, or the beauty queen. YOU. DO. NOT. NEED. SOMEONE. TO. TELL. YOU. THAT. YOU. ARE. BEAUTIFUL. FOR. IT. TO. BE. TRUE. Love yourself. Be yourself. Enjoy your life. If you feel like it will never get better, I PROMISE you- it will get better. Half way through the week 🙌🏼 We made it this far so keep on striving for those goals, boulder shoulders weren’t built in a day!
Early morning workouts have me feelin some type of way. Just something about getting up and being productive first thing is so rewarding. I also feel my best in the morning and I find it helps with bloating throughout the day having sweat out some toxins.
SWIPE for my shoulder workout ➡️➡️➡️➡️➡️➡️➡️➡️➡️➡️ ➡️➡️➡️➡️➡️➡️ - chest press 3x12
- lateral raises 4x10
- military press 3x8-10
- frontal raises 4x8-10
- rear delt fly 3x12
- tricep extensions 3x15 ss with push ups 3x8-10
Don’t be afraid to go heavy with upper body, however I focused on increasing my reps with a weight that was challenging but still manageable 🤗
