Don't throw your back out Thursday
If you threw your back out last week because I didn't post well that's a silly thing to do. Do this stuff every day to bulletproof your back. Prepare it for a little more than your regular activities require.
Posture, what is it? How do we get better at it and when do we use it?
Posture is how you hold yourself for a given situation. Good posture Is your ability to recruit your muscles in an effective way so that you can perform your activity or lack thereof without pain, and without compromising your short and long term health.
We get get better posture through awareness of ourselves in different situations. We can build awareness with a mirror, a photo, a video, a coach or another human who can give feedback. To get better at it, you need to apply stress to your body (like through lifting weights) and practice perfect posture in these moments. Anything less will create bad habits.
We use it when you meet your partners parents for the first time, for athletics, for playing with our kids, for getting out of work without being in pain at the end of the day.
Could posture be one of the biggest components to geeat health?
Yup it's a key component for you to be able to organise your hips, ribs, shoulders, neck, head, spine. AND to be able to do anything.
